There are a great many artifacts and they are scattered all over the world. And you can find these fragments of the past not only in distant countries and inaccessible mountains. Amazing and simply incredible artifacts are also kept in museums and for many ordinary people seem to be just a work of art. But if we consider these objects from the technical point of view, they turn almost into an extraterrestrial object.

Such unreal items include the Big Kolyvan Vase, which has a second and national name - "Tsarina Vaz". It can be seen every day in the walls of the Hermitage in the city of St. Petersburg.

This masterpiece is made of Jasper, greenish - wavy structure. The weight of this "vase" is 19 tons. It is 2.58 meters high, the main diameter is 5.05 m, and the small one is 3.23 m. This specimen is unique and the largest in the world. According to the official version, the vase was produced in 1849, and the process of its production began in 1829.

But we are not interested in its external ideal appearance and cultural value, and the main question to which we want to answer is how it was produced. And for the answer, you should contact the stone processing specialists.

Expert opinion

At the first glance at the artifact, experts were taken aback. Indeed, according to them, it is simply impossible to make a product from a single piece of a coil (Jasper) of this class. And here are the reasons:

This stone has such an interesting feature: the more heterogeneous its structure (the more beautiful the pattern), the more fragile it is. So, with ordinary sawing, the percentage of waste reaches very impressive figures of 70%, but this is not the most important thing.

When processing a workpiece in a machine, the stone experiences increased loads and therefore there is a high probability of splitting. But how the elliptical edges were drawn on the bowl is generally incomprehensible. According to the masters, this is impossible.

For the purity of the experiment, it was decided to create a reduced copy of this artifact using the most modern tools. The following aspect ratios were chosen: a height of 1.2 meters and a diameter of 0.6 meters. A detailed sketch was drawn up and the only condition was put forward - the vase should be made from a single piece of jasper. And then the order was sent to the most authoritative workshops in Russia.

The answer was not long in coming. A refusal was given with the following explanations: it is impossible to make such a product from a single piece of jasper. The workpiece with a 100% probability will be damaged even at the pre-processing stage.

But the vase exists and it was made not with the help of ultra-modern devices, but with supposedly "simple" instruments back in 1849.

It turns out that the Queen of all vases was made using unknown technologies that remain inaccessible to modern craftsmen!
