Do you believe in the existence of ghosts and how do you feel about the stories of the houses in which they can inhabit? Near the American city of New York, there is a house that is known throughout America. It is located in a place called Amityville.

The mansion has 3 floors and looks pretty common for the time it was built. It was built by colonists from Holland in 1924, and the very first family lived happily for more than one year, but then everything changed. Most likely, this happened for a natural reason. When the first owners died (in 1960), it was placed at an auction, where the family bought it, having lived in it for about five years and no paranormal events occurred. The couple broke up, and they decided to sell the mansion.

In the same year the family bought the house. The mansion is located in a prestigious area and there were many who wanted to buy it, so it was not empty. Already seven years later, on November 18, 1974, a call rang at the police station, and an agitated man said that he had heard shots in a house located on 112 Ocean Avenue. Police officers found six corpses, they had gunshot marks and an examination showed that the cause became a weapon of large caliber. The father of the family, Ronaldo Fail Sr., his wife Louise, four children were killed, and the only living person in the house was Ronald DeFeo.

The man did not deny his guilt and confirmed that it was he who did it, but the most strange was the testimony in court, and not during interrogation. He claimed that he did not do it of his own free will, but that he was ordered to do this by the spirits and demons who dwell in this ancient house and he could not resist them. The verdict was without any mitigation and he was found guilty, imprisoned for a century and a half.

The house was put up for sale again, and a year later (in December 1975) a young married couple bought the house, in which 6 people were killed. George and Katie Lutz, along with their children, knew about the history of this mansion, but she did not scare them, because quite a few people believe in such stories and ghosts. Almost immediately, the family noticed that strange things were happening in the house. Rustles were heard in the house, and windows and doors opened by themselves, frightening small children. Moreover, the family smelled a smell that resembled the smell of decay and their life became almost unbearable.

The family decided to call a priest to help sort out the evil spirits, but he escaped during the cleansing ritual. The couple did not lag behind the minister of the church and demanded an explanation, which he nevertheless made and referred to the demons in the house, which he could not cope with and advised them to leave the mansion as soon as possible. The adventures of the owners of the house did not end and their little daughter said that is friends with the ghost. One day the children woke up from the fact that their mother was hanging in the air and revolving in a circle above the ceiling.

A father and husband named Josh heard a terrible scream at night and jumped out of bed to check what was happening. He saw his wife is over the bed and shakes her in a circle, like a doll. It is difficult to imagine the feelings of a person who sees this. You've probably seen this in paranormal movies, so you can imagine what it looks like.

Naturally, after that night, the family decided to leave home and tell people about twenty days of nightmares in life that they will never forget. In late February 1976, the house was decided to be investigated by paranormal hunters. Lorraine Warren decided to conduct her own investigation and figure out what exactly is happening in the house. Some time later, the woman stated that evil spirits were actually present in the house and that one should beware of the mansion, and even more so not to live in it.

Later, Dr. Stephen Kaplan, who was the director of the Institute of Parapsychology of America, said that this story is real. The mansion is included in the list of the creepiest houses in America and is up for sale. At the moment, nothing is known about the new owners of the house.

And you know what? It seems to me that this whole story may be quite real and it is not worth immediately denying and saying that ghosts do not exist. After all, until it happens, many remain skeptics.
