An amusement park in Surrey in the south of England decided to move one of the water attractions to another location after employees of the construction company that maintains the park complained about ghosts in the area where the entertainment facility is located
According to the builders, near the water slide, they felt uncomfortable and noticed strange phenomena, such as something that looked like the ghost of a decapitated monk, according to Sky News.
The park said that experts in the paranormal were called to the place where the slide was installed, who recorded mystical activity next to the entertainment facility. Presumably, paranormal phenomena may be due to the fact that during the construction of the attraction, ancient graves or parts of ancient structures were damaged.
The waterslide was built in a place called the Monastic Trail. Next to the old paths are the ruins of the ancient Abbey of Chertsney, which appeared in Surrey in 666 AD. Previously, excavations were carried out there and stone coffins were found in the ground.
In the near future, additional forensic research will be carried out at the amusement park. Forensic geophysicist Peter Masters was called to the park to use radar to study the site of the water slide. According to him, there may indeed be graves in the ground, but the expert did not rule out that the ruins of an ancient building are located under the attraction. “Anyway, it's worth exploring this place properly,” Masters summed up.
