In the fall of 2018, a gentleman with the nickname Soundly, a resident of the American city of Mandeville, bought a new camera with excellent magnification and went to the shores of Lake Pontchartrain with the goal of looking across the water to New Orleans and see the curvature of the Earth, after which he made a video and publicly ridiculed all supporters of the flat version of the planet. And this is what he ended up with:
Since the first floors of the buildings are not visible for water, the author of the video seriously stated that the buildings are hidden behind the curvature of the Earth, for which he was immediately ridiculed.
Interested in the question, we went for background information, first opening Google Maps in 3D mode, and then looking for the buildings of New Orleans displayed in the film.
The distance from the shooting location to New Orleans is about 45 kilometers, which should lower the Earth's surface by 150 meters:
As follows from the video, there is a certain subsidence of the surface, since the first ten floors of the tallest building are not visible. This building is called One Shell Square. It has 51 floors and its height, together with the superstructure and antennas, is 212 meters:

Based on this height and considering the curvature of the planet, no more than 10-15 upper floors of the tallest skyscraper in New Orleans should be visible from the opposite shore of the lake. However, for some reason, all 40 floors are visible, on the basis of which the question arises: how does this happen?
Some commentators on the video suggest that the water in the lake sank and became flat under the influence of gravity. However, in reality, there is nowhere for the water to sink, since Lake Pontchartrain is not really a lake, but a large puddle with an average depth of 3-4 meters.
The version of finding the building on a hill is also ruled out, since New Orleans is not Rome and stands on a flat, like a board, terrain.
Thus, Mr. Soundly did not come up with a convincing proof of a round Earth, and his video seems to say more that the Earth is flat. On the other hand, if the Earth were flat, then the first floor of the skyscraper would be visible, which is not observed.
In the end, at the moment, at the ameroblogodrome, the furious disputes about a round / flat Earth suddenly stopped and everyone, together, together, are trying to find out the truth, which so far eludes everyone.
