Armenia is a beautiful and ancient country. The most mysterious place here is undoubtedly Zorats Karer, also called Armenian Stonehenge.
He is also known as Carahunge or Karahunji and c. 7,500 years old, possibly more. Some archaeologists estimate it even 4500 years older than British Stonehenge.
The entire complex, located south of the city of Sisian in Armenia, consists of about 280 megaliths, the largest of which weighs about 50 tons. The stones are arranged in an intersecting geometric pattern with a side length of more than 500 meters, which extends on three sides.
80 of these stones have holes, some of which reach 50 centimeters in diameter.
And while none of the researchers is sure what these stones were intended for, there are many theories.
So, Giorgio Zucalos, the propagandist of the theory of paleocontacts, is convinced that this location is of extraterrestrial origin.

Between the larger stones, there are several smaller stones with various engravings. And these prints are often interpreted as depictions of alien beings.
As noted by Jadon Martell, author of The Apocalypse of Knowledge: “We see heads with large skulls and large almond-shaped eyes. These are the traits that the gray alien race has."
Giorgio Zucalos agrees with this conclusion. One of the prints shows two creatures holding together what looks like a disc:
“This is an extremely interesting engraving. We have a ball floating in the air. Could this be an image of a flying saucer? Probably yes. It is so important to them that they carved it in stone."
The next engraving clearly shows creatures with bulging heads and the same eyes as in the previous images. Strangely, there is an outline on their heads that seems to illustrate where their brains might be.
However, some researchers suggest that the characters in these prints are not alien creatures. Simple mythological characters.
Many are simply sure that Zorats Karer has astronomical significance. It may be the oldest observatory in the world.
This is indicated, for example, by holes drilled in some stones, because they are made at carefully chosen angles. And the depicted creatures, according to a number of authors, indicate certain stars in the sky.
Tsukalos says about these discoveries: “Why would you build something like this on another planet? I can only say one reason - to leave a message for future generations. A message that reads: "Here we come from here."
In 1984, the Bulgarian archaeologist Enik Sargsi Khnkikyan published a report on his study of Stonehenge. The results of his research showed that the entire area served as an astronomical observatory.
Nicholas Howarth, geographer at Oxford University, noted that similar places can be found all over the world. And nobody really knows what they were originally used for. The prevailing theory is that these sites were used for religious rituals and served as places of power in times of war or danger, similar to churches in the Middle Ages. In peacetime, they served as an astronomical observatory.
It is interesting that here, unlike other similar places, there is at least one grave and several burial places, which are decorated with petroglyphs, and in which various objects were found. This led to speculation that the site might just be a burial ground.
There are many versions. Which one is correct - time will tell. In the meantime, you yourself can visit this place and explore its features.
