Scientists recently made an incredible discovery. It turns out that photographs of dear people can heal a person from different types of pain.

The experiment involved 28 women. They were tested using objects of varying incandescence. The task of the experimental ladies was to endure the pain as long as possible. Until her complete intolerance.

In the first stage of the experiment, women endured pain while holding a loved one by the hand. This man was behind a screen. The second stage took place in the same way, but with people unfamiliar to women. The third and fourth stages of the experiment consisted of enduring pain while looking at photos of dear people in third, and strangers in fourth.

The results of the experiments showed that at the moments of viewing photos with dear people, women did not suffer so much from pain and could tolerate it much longer than when they looked at strangers. The photo-viewing effect even overshadowed the hand-holding experiment in its effectiveness. Scientists explained this phenomenon by the fact that looking at the faces of loved ones, women in this way stimulated the pleasure zones of the brain. This produced anesthetic effect on them.

The researchers note, however, that viewing photographs cannot completely relieve a person of such severe pains as migraines or toothaches. But many types of pain, such as taking tests, can be significantly reduced, if not completely avoided.
