The Soviet people suffered trials never seen before in history. And as always, the great people showed that there is no enemy that could not be defeated.
During the Great Patriotic War, many amazing feats were accomplished, behind which stood an unsurpassed soldier's ingenuity.
1. Sliding fences
There was a very interesting case during the battle on Malaya Zemlya. Soviet troops on one of the front sectors encountered an impregnable bunker. Whatever the Soviet assault groups did, it was impossible to get close to the bunker.
It should be noted that the pillbox was surrounded by a barbed wire fence with cans hung on it. Once Private Stepan Shchuka got hold of a winch. With the help of a cable, which he hooked on the fences, Pike turned on the winch. The Germans were so taken aback by what they saw that they left the bunker with all their calculations. Later, the prisoners said that they thought that evil spirits were pulling the fence.
2. Turtles

There, on Malaya Zemlya, there was another interesting case. In one of the areas of confrontation, there were many turtles.
Once the soldiers tied a tin can to the turtle and let it go towards the Germans. Hearing the sound, the Germans opened heavy fire at the animal, thinking that it was Soviet soldiers who were cutting the barrage wire.
More than a thousand ammunition was spent on one animal alone. So, for a long time, Soviet soldiers sent hundreds of turtles towards the enemy, thereby forcing him to spend an incredible amount of ammunition.
3. Sly Nikita Sergeevich
When our troops were leaving Kharkov, the first secretary of the Kiev regional committee, NS Khrushchev, demanded that the house in which he lived be mined, believing that the German command would place its generals in it.
The case was entrusted to the outstanding sapper Ilya Starinov. The soldiers of his group dug a deep well in the boiler room of Khrushchev's house, in which they installed a huge warhead.
And so that the Germans would not guess, a second was installed on the surface nearby, which was disguised so that the Germans would find it. A few weeks later, when the Germans occupied Kharkov, the charge was detonated by radio signal. Thus, Lieutenant General Georg Braun was killed.
4. Camping kitchen
In the summer of 1941, the 8th Panzer Division surrounded the Soviet troops.
One tank, having driven out to the edge of the forest, stopped. The tank commander saw on the field a field kitchen in which soldier's porridge was calmly boiling. Deciding to taste the porridge, the tank commander went downstairs and went to the kitchen. But then a Soviet soldier jumped out of the grass and chased the tanker.
He managed to jump into the tank, but the soldier followed him. He bent the machine gun with an ax and closed the viewing slits with rags. Having immobilized the tank in this way, he began to loudly call his comrades with grenades.
A few minutes later, the hatch opened and surrendering Germans emerged from the tank. The soldier made them tie each other up, and he himself went to cook the porridge.
