81-year-old Alan Morgan from the town of Batwick, in the English county of Somerset, threw another riddle to the doctors and again proved that modern medicine is still extremely poorly understood in the secrets of the human brain.

After recovering from the coma that followed a heart attack, he was surprised to find that he spoke Welsh. Although before I did not notice linguistic abilities and spoke only English.

As a child, Alan, however, lived for several years during the war with his grandmother in Wales, but he perfectly remembers that he never learned the Welsh language, although, of course, he understood it a little. Now he suddenly spoke it fluently.

Doctors diagnosed Alan Morgan with aphasia, a brain disorder that affects the part of the brain that is responsible for speech. In most patients, aphasia causes speech and reading problems, but in a small minority it causes a surge in language skills.

Doctors believe the seizure suppressed his memories of English and, as it were, made Welsh, which he heard as a child, but which he never spoke, the main language.

Alan Morgan had to actually re-learn English. His native language was given to him with great difficulty, but in the end patience won out, and now he speaks English again. As for the Welsh language, it again went into the depths of the brain. Morgan hardly remembers him now.
