At the same time, according to American scientists, it will be possible to create Martian bricks using a simplified technology using one compression without using, for example,heat and chemical additives. They came to this conclusion after conducting experiments with a simulated Martian soil called "Mars 1a".
The construction business on the Red Planet seems to be in order. However, in preparation for the flight at the last stage, an unexpected problem may arise - a shortage of reliable suits for astronauts. A recent audit by the US space agency found an unexpected problem with the suits. Despite the $ 200 million allocated to equip astronauts, spacesuits are in big trouble. The old bulky suits that American and European astronauts now use on the ISS have been developed for over 40 years and were supposed to be replaced with new ones after 15 years, but they were never replaced. Not only are they outdated, but, as it suddenly turned out, there are also very few of them. In addition, costumes that are constantly being redesigned, adding different innovations to them all the time, often have problems. For example,in 2013, Italian astronaut Luca Parmitano nearly … choked to death after his helmet suddenly began filling with water. During 200 spacewalks with astronauts, there were 27 serious "accidents" related to suits. The inspectors counted about 3400 problems with the suits, which, of course, is a lot, even considering that these were minor problems.
New suits are needed. A total of more than $ 63 million has already been spent on the program to create them, however, according to the Daily Mail, so far there is nothing to boast about.
