The Church of the Resurrection of Christ is located in Jerusalem. Every year thousands of believers come here to witness a miracle: the descent of the Holy Fire. The Holy Fire or Holy Light is the name given to the flame carried out of the Holy Sepulcher at a special service held there every Great Saturday, on the eve of Orthodox Easter. The carrying out of the Holy Light symbolizes the exit from the Tomb of the True Light, that is, the risen Jesus Christ.

The earliest chronicle records of the supernatural appearance of the Holy Fire date back to the 4th century. The Holy Light does not have a natural natural source, that is, it is not ignited by people, but comes down from heaven from God at the prayer of the Orthodox Patriarch. The methods of lighting and carrying out the Holy Light, the order of holding and the composition of the participants in the service were different depending on the historical periods, but this never changed the essence of what was happening.

You can hear about it a thousand times, watch a lot of photos and videos, but all this is not able to convey the whole gamut of sensations from a miracle that is happening right before your eyes.

Before the miraculous convergence of the flame, the temple begins to illuminate with bright flashes of the Blessed Light, here and there small lightning flashes. In slow motion, you can see that they come from different places of the temple - from the icon hanging over the Kuvuklia, from the dome of the Temple, from the windows and from other places, and flood the entire hall with bright light.

Fire lightning flashes between the walls and columns of the temple. Their movement is chaotic and it happens that they pass through standing people without causing any harm. A truly amazing sight!

From the hole in the dome of the Temple, a vertical wide column of light descends from the sky onto the Coffin. The temple or its individual places are filled with divine radiance, which first revealed itself to the world during the Resurrection of Christ. At the same time, the doors of the Tomb are opened and the Orthodox Patriarch comes out, who blesses the audience and distributes the Holy Fire. For some believers, candles light up by themselves.

Descended Fire has a unique property: the flame exudes heat, but does not burn the first minutes. The prophecy says that on that dark day, when the Holy Fire does not descend from heaven, the End of the World will come.

Then, according to the Revelation of John the Theologian, 4 horsemen of the apocalypse will descend to Earth: War, Death, Pestilence and Hunger. The world will plunge into darkness and chaos, and the living will envy the dead.
