Although Vilyatowo is practically not remembered now, and the very topic of crop circles in Poland was pushed far into the background, the discussion continues in narrow circles of enthusiasts. The discussion is being conducted, however, in a rather sentimental vein. Adam Piekut tells in an interview for the Internet blog Czas Tajemnic about how the study of plant samples from the Vilyatovo pictograms was carried out, what conclusions can be drawn here and how this all relates to the activity of crop makers in Vilyatovo and the surrounding area.).

- Adam, we cannot but agree that your contribution to the research of pictograms and their popularization was significant. As a co-author of the well-known Internet portal Wylatowo, you are responsible for editing the section on crop circles, every year you organize a gathering of amateurs at Vylyatowo, but above all, you went down in history as a person who, together with Jan Szymański, took up the study of seed samples from the Wylatowo formations. The abnormalities of the plants from the circles that you discovered were very well known in their time. How do you feel about Vilyatovo now, from the perspective of the past years? Is there still reason to continue the discussion?

- Thanks for the kind words. Speaking of cooperation, I must, of course, express my gratitude to Dr. Maciej Szanser from the Center for Environmental Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences (CBE PAN). Thanks to his help, I was able to statistically process all the results and draw preliminary conclusions. After the first stage, he processed all the data himself. Without this, I would have been left with only dry numbers that do not say anything. Dr. Shimanski joined the work at the end to verify our results. Does it make sense to continue the discussion further? Of course. At one time, Dr. Szymanski used the expression: "It turns us upside down, but we are still not in a supine position." And this sounded in the context of the message that all the pictograms in Vilyatovo were made by people. Therefore, anomalies in plants, the results of Dr. Shimanski's work seem even stranger. In addition to this, there are still other phenomena, for example, UFO sightings or the triggering of Gerhard Groeschel's equipment, which last took place on July 20 of this year.

- You conducted your studies of circles during 2003-2006. They were widely covered, including on the pages of the "Nieznany Świat" edition. Much of the information collected was not presented to the public and is still stored in your archive. Can we consider the anomalies you discovered in plant samples, for example, from the famous pictogram dated July 6, 2003, as empirical evidence of the manifestation of energy unknown to science?

- First, about the research itself. From the pictograms that appeared in the vicinity of Vilyatovo in 2003-2005, I took seed samples - both from the formations themselves and control samples outside them. Then I sowed them (several hundred seeds each) in the appropriate place. Then, a few days later, every day I counted the number of germinated seeds and measured the height of the plants. Thanks to the help of the above-mentioned Dr. Chancer, I was able to analyze the obtained data. The results turned out to be interesting, since in most cases the difference between the plants from the seeds taken in the pictograms and the control ones ranged from several to several tens of percent. Can this be considered an argument for the influence of energy unknown to science? Maybe yes, maybe no. Maybe this is a known form of energy, such as microwave, but only of unknown origin. Although, lately I am personally inclined towards the theory of "form energy".

- A lot of controversy was caused by the study of samples from the pictogram, which appeared in Vilyatovo in 2005. As we know, she is considered the last "authentic" agroglyph. The analysis of the inoculum did not allow any unambiguous conclusions to be drawn. Your seeds germinated slowly, and Jan Szymanski's - faster. The difference in the material under study was only in the fact that you took the seed samples a few hours after the pictogram appeared, and Jan Szymanski a few days later. The places where the samples were taken were also different. How is this difference with the germination of seeds from the same formation explained?

- These studies surprised me the most. Two factors that have already been named can be significant here. The first is time. This can be confirmed by one fact. As a rule, I would collect samples a few days later [after the circles appeared - trans.], And the plants sprout faster. The second factor is the location of sampling. In the center of the circle the plants were 16% lower, and at the edge of the circle they were already 40% lower. And what else discouraged me from further study … At the time of researching this pictogram, I already knew who made it and how. Therefore, I argue that these changes could have been caused by some other energy, which is not related to the process of formation of the formation (perhaps in an indirect way), but what is most plausible is the “energy of form”.

- We remember that many things happened in Vilyatovo in 2000-2006. Along with the appearance of complex signs, there was also a "surge" of observations of unidentified flying objects. All this accompanied each other. In parallel, the crop makers circling in the vicinity made their contribution. Their activity, however, did not overshadow the manifestations of a phenomenon that did not fit into scientific postulates. What do you think it could be? Unknown forces of nature, UFOs or something else?

Promotional video:

- Crop makers - yes, but I think they did a good job. They drew the attention of people, journalists, famous researchers to this place. It may be that this “splash” has always been here, but only thanks to the crop circles the eyewitnesses revealed themselves, dared to share their observations. In addition, there were thousands of people looking into the sky. Most of these observations can be easily explained, but even if a few percent of them were unexplained, it gives a large figure. I will skip the research of Dr. Szymanski or Gerhard Groschel here. What could it be? I would give a lot to find out. Probably a little bit of everything: a little natural, a little military, a little UFO (however this term is understood).

- You probably remember the famous circles on the field of Tadeusz Filipczak, which appeared in July 2004. It was then that the biophysicist Jan Shimanski was the first to get involved in the study of pictograms. Soon, his research covered the whole of Poland. Information about them in scattered form can be found in specialized publications and on the pages of the Internet resource Wylatowo.pl. How do you think his famous "UFO sensors" could register the effects of unknown energy? Or maybe it was a "white thread" intrigue, initiated by joke-prone crop makers?

- They could and were registered. At first, as an "archisceptic", I suspected that there was some mistake on the part of Dr. Shimanski. However, seeing his scrupulousness, I ruled it out. In addition, other equipment later appeared that confirmed the presence of such energy. The crop makers did not know what these sensors were and where they could be located. I don’t remember they were even aware of the sensors. Crop makers' actions and sensor triggering are two different issues.

- If we talk about anomalous phenomena, then, as far as I know, this "unknown" also affected you. In 2002, a well-known collective observation took place in Vilyatovo. For several tens of seconds, a strange phenomenon was observed in the sky, which changed forms and behaved quite revealingly, as if playing to the public. Many people have seen this. You were also in the large crowd of onlookers. Tell us what did you happen to see then?

- I remember that it lasted for several tens of seconds. My family and I were standing on the side of the road near one of the pictograms. There were only 5 of us: mom, brother with wife and cousin. Date - July 19, it was already the first or second o'clock in the morning, I don't remember exactly. The sky was densely covered with clouds. Suddenly, heading south, I noticed an orange glowing object. Flat as a pancake. I drew my family's attention to him. This "something" began to increase or approach. This is difficult to determine at night, especially when you don't know what you are dealing with. It was dark orange with red streaks, changing shape. From a flat pancake it turned into a triangle, a circle (at that moment it was 2 times the size of the full moon) and then began to decrease again. All this lasted 2-3 minutes. What was it? I dont know. It was not Luna or anything I knew. But, however,it didn’t look like a kind of mechanical apparatus, so I noticed earlier that here we can talk about some unknown natural phenomena. This was the only time when I had a chance to see something so impressive in the sky … Six months later, my grandmother observed a hovering triangular object for half an hour, and the next day I discovered in that place one of these strange holes in the ground that appeared in the vicinity, and not only in the vicinity.which appeared in the vicinity, and not only in the vicinity.which appeared in the vicinity, and not only in the vicinity.

- Did these events influence your interest in the study of the crop circle phenomenon? Maybe you managed to find eyewitnesses to other events? We know that this phenomenon was actively manifested in many other parts of the Mogilen povet. The scale of the demonstrations was sometimes simply amazing.

- I have been interested in this topic for a long time. But this 2002 event was the reason for my deeper involvement, for example, in patrolling. I did research on plant growth for a different reason. I saw that except in words, no one really studies anything. It was the only idea that came to my mind and for the implementation of which I had the technical means and knowledge. I did not have to look for eyewitnesses of other events. They announced themselves. I have met many in the fields … A truck driver who described the passage of a "submarine" over the road when he was standing at a railway crossing near Trzemeszno. A man on ships who saw the "three flying oranges" above the ship during a voyage off the coast of Spain. Residents of Vilyatovo, neighbors, family. It is a pity that all this was not recorded. It was all too much. Can,there was not a great desire either, since among these "seeds" there were also many "chaff", and the behavior of many researchers discouraged them.

- Not without reason we can say that the topic of crop circles in the media died naturally. No laps have been recorded in Poland this season. At least we don't know about it. Does this mean that the circles were the work of people? Since interest in this topic weakened, then crop makers left their occupation.

“I have no idea why this happened. Perhaps the community of crop makers in Poland turned out to be rather weak. They left their business for various reasons. Information about their small "creations", perhaps, simply did not reach us due to the weakening of interest in the media. There is also a theory that crop makers are acting under the influence of some unknown force and that this force has calmed down. Anyway, I feel the subtext of the question. So, in my opinion, the circles were created by people. However, was it influenced by something more? I leave this question open. It seems like a lot indicates this. At least the fact that during their work strange lights appear, these strange energies from Vilyatovo, this often unknown source of inspiration for creating patterns, etc.

- Last season we had two formations. One - in Valyatovo itself in the corn field, the second - 20 km from Vilyatovo, with its beauty attracted the attention of many onlookers. I know that you were there and documented these incidents. How do you rate these circles?

- There is nothing to say about what is in corn. I even forgot about him. And the one that is 20 km from Vilyatovo? The drawing is beautiful, but the execution is worse. They are also quite suspicious.

- Circles in Vilyatovo - this is one side of the coin, the second is the observation of anomalous phenomena. The monitoring of Gerhard Groschel, which has been carried out for several years, regularly fixes something. Mostly these are flights of some unidentifiable points in the sky. Some cases can be rationally explained. And what about the visual observations of the residents of Vilyatovo? During my visits to Vilyatovo in 2002-2004, I managed to record a considerable number of UFO sightings. Many cases belonged to a rather distant time. I even cautiously suggested that this phenomenon is in symbiosis with this area. How do you look at it? And do the residents of Vilyatovo continue to observe similar things?

- Gerhard is no longer monitored. Only Rafal Novitsky's camera and some of Gerhard's equipment remained, which, among other things, measures the electromagnetic field. This was the last trigger on it on July 20 of this year. The jump in the radiation level was several times higher than the usual one. Unfortunately, there were no visual observations that day. During Gerhard's monitoring, something was recorded, but later many objects were identified as military vehicles. But there were also some interesting fixations. I'm sure this phenomenon has not died out completely. But do the residents of Vilyatovo see something similar now? I do not know this. I have been living in Wroclaw for almost three years now, and maintaining contacts with the locals is somewhat difficult for me. Once a year, during our rallies, we focus more on companionship than surveys. Though, during the last meeting, one of the participants was lucky enough to observe strange objects and photograph them on camera.

- In conclusion, a question about your research. Are you going to summarize the results of your research, and can we count on their publication?

- Generalization will be. I have not yet described the results of the 2005 studies. They are presented to me only in the form of a table, which I prepared for a speech at the UFO forum, and notes. I would like to summarize the results of the 2003-2005 work. There should be both current conclusions and their assessment from the standpoint of the present time, when it became known to me who made these circles. But this takes time. I hope to do this in the coming autumn time.

- Thank you very much for the conversation.
