"DAMNED" PLACE
Voronezh residents consider the intersection of Moskovsky Prospect and Kholzunov Street to be one of the cursed places. The mystical explanation of the anomaly of this zone lies on the surface - the diagonal passing through the intersection connects two places of death - the Kominternovskoye cemetery and the monument of Glory, where the soldiers who died in the battles for Voronezh are buried. The pyramid that appeared in the center of the intersection in 2000 only exacerbated the situation, some residents say. Indeed, in metaphysics, a pyramid is an energetic device that is capable of "sucking" the energy of the surrounding world. Whether this is true or not, we cannot reliably say, but the crossroads are not without a bad reputation and, like the previous bad places, concentrates road accidents and various emergencies around it.
THE SNOW MAN HAS BEEN POISONED WITH "PALENE" VODKA
At the end of the eighties of the last century, students of the Polytechnic Institute, living in a dormitory on the "ninth kilometer", were careful not to walk around the neighborhood alone in the evening because of the appearance in the microdistrict of a mysterious creature, which was immediately dubbed the Bigfoot.
A certain creature more than two meters tall and with abundant hair (exactly hair, not woolen!) Walked at night under the windows of hostels and rummaged in garbage cans in search of food. On several occasions, it even attacked students, taking bags of food from them, but without harming people.

In those years, the shortage of food in the country reached its climax, and students were wary of losing food as much as losing life. Appeals to the police did not bring any success - when a police “bobby” was on duty at the "nine", the Bigfoot did not appear. The police ceased to be on duty near the hostels, and the students were threatened next time to be prosecuted for misleading the guards.
After the collapse of the USSR, Bigfoot disappeared as suddenly as he appeared. Some believe that he died of hunger, others - that he poisoned himself with "singed" vodka.
However, we have heard that there was no Bigfoot on the "nine" at all, and the story about him was invented by a group of students who spent the common money collected for the New Year celebration.
But an evil dwarf lived in Voronezh, and he lived in the Dynamo park. The dwarf appeared in the evenings as belated passers-by, after which they became blind, deaf, and even went crazy. In total, there were about 15 victims of the monster in Voronezh. The dwarf was last seen in 2001.
The residents of Voronezh tried several times to give birth to the myth about the Chupacabra, but for some reason the story of the monstrous creature did not take root among the people.
THE MOST FAMOUS CAT IN THE COUNTRY
The monument to the cartoon hero - the Kitten from Lizyukov Street - is located on the street of the same name near the former Mir cinema. Over the years, the Kitten's mustache has been broken off, which supposedly brings happiness. After the last vandalism against the legendary Kitten, the mustache is said to have been made "vandal-proof."
In fact, there is another sign - if you take a photo with the Kitten from Lizyukvoa Street, luck will smile all year round.
The idea of creating the monument belongs to the former editor of the regional newspaper Molodoy Kommunar Valery Maltsev. The idea was supported by Ivan Obraztsov, head of the Kominternovsky district administration. A competition was announced, the winner of which was the 11th grade student Irina Povarova.
The idea of the eleventh grader was revised by sculptors Ivan Dikunov and Elsa Pak together with their sons Maxim and Alexei. The monument was installed on December 5, 2003.
