A separate episode of the acclaimed American television series called "Supernatural" tells about the "woman in white." This is a ghost that often appears to travelers on the highways of Europe and America. There are a number of variants of known cases of meeting with an ephemeral stranger. One of them tells the story of a boy who returned home rather late from a noisy celebration. Following the highway, he suddenly saw a stranger in a long white dress on the side of the road, and decided to stop the car to give her a lift. Seeing that the fellow traveler was cold, the young man threw his sweater over her shoulders.
Approaching the house of his fellow traveler, the driver decided to get out of the car and open the door to help the girl get out. But suddenly he saw that his companion had disappeared. Therefore, the young American thought that the stranger simply ran into her home.
The next morning it occurred to the guy that they forgot to give him the sweater. He went to the house of his fellow traveler, but found there only an elderly woman, who told him that her daughter had died ten years ago in a car accident.
