Kazakhstan has its own mysterious and mystical places that will be of interest to foreigners within the framework of tourism development. The catch.today website told about these places around which an aura of mystery has been created, Kazpravda.kz reports.

Dead lake

The lake is located in the area of the village of Gerasimovka, in the Almaty region.

In this lake, the water is always icy, and it doesn't matter if it's summer or winter. There are no living creatures in the lake: no fish, no algae. The drowned never resurfaced. The pond strikes terror and awe in the inhabitants. Locals even say that they saw dead bodies that simply stood at the bottom in an upright position. Professional divers who dared to dive into the water claim that after the third minute they began to suffocate for a completely incomprehensible reason. Parents forbid children not only to swim and dive, but also to simply be near the water.

They do not return from there. The very name of the island warns about this. According to one of the legends, time passes here at its own special pace, different from the pace of the rest of the world. In 1991, an entire expedition went missing on the island. None of them were found later. In 1993, the media reported about a group of people who suddenly fell into a "white fog". According to them, they stayed there for about twenty minutes, and on their return they learned that search rescuers had been looking for them for a long time, and they had been absent not 20 minutes, but more than 20 hours. The nature of these anomalies has not yet been studied in detail.

Singing Mountain or Singing Dune

Located on the southwestern coast of Lake Baskunchak. It is one of the attractions of the Altyn Emel National Park, located 240 km from Almaty.

Singing Mountain is not a mountain at all. It is a huge sandy hill stretching for 3 km. Sometimes you can hear a deep vibrating hum here. People say the mountain is moving, but scientists are skeptical about this version. And they also say that Genghis Khan himself is buried here. Believers claim that the devil himself is hiding under the mountain. He hid, but he couldn't get out. So it howls all day long, shaking the earth with its tail. By the way, the southern part of the dune can change its position depending on the direction of the wind.

Ustyurt plateau

Location: between the northern part of the Caspian and the Aral Sea.

Cases of eye contact with UFOs have been reported more than once: eyewitnesses described them as "a crescent cloud of smoky color" and "a luminous translucent shell." But these phenomena are not recognized and studied by scientists.

Ungurtas

Located in the Almaty region, 100 km from Almaty.

This place is also called the "Navel of the Earth".

In the village of Ungurtas, a hole in the ground with a diameter of about 8 meters was discovered with energy beating from there. People come here from different parts of the world for the life-giving energy of the Earth. They say that it illuminates a person, cleanses and strengthens the body. According to some beliefs, it is here that the systems of heaven and earth converge. There is no limit to the miracles that happen in this small village.
