A resident of Salt Lake City, Utah, USA reported a black disc-shaped UFO that consisted of three objects connected together.
The 37-year-old eyewitness, along with his younger sister and brother, as well as two sons, were driving along I-15 south of Salt Lake City on the evening of August 11, 2016, when at 21:20 they saw an unusual object in the sky.
“I was the first to notice a black object in the sky, which was 500 meters above the ground,” a local resident said in a statement to the World UFO Network (MUFON). "Then he jokingly told his boys to look at the UFOs."
At first, the older family members thought it was a cloud. It seemed to them very strange that there was only one dark cloud in the clear sky. They started taking pictures of him and continued to argue, trying to understand what it was. But when we drove closer, we saw that the object has clear outer contours and a solid structure.
“The photos weren't very good because I was shooting with my cell phone after sunset and at maximum magnification. I took a few shots and looked up. There were three black classic UFOs. Then they merged again into one object. I didn’t understand how they split and then reunited as one.”
Then the object began to quickly move away.
“He increased his speed and after a few seconds disappeared northward, towards the city of Ogden. My brother and I estimated that the object was about 500 meters wide and over 200 meters high. It was completely black."
When eyewitnesses realized that it was not a cloud, and saw how the object was divided into three equal parts in the horizontal plane, they clearly felt uneasy. Adults and children alike were excited and a little scared.
