Scientists collaborating with Altai State University announced the creation of a new drug. According to their assurances, the medication launches the mechanism of tissue renewal, and also helps to maintain them in a state that corresponds to a biologically young body.
The drug is responsible for activating the body's production of an additional volume of stem cells. The authors of the project report that their achievements can be called "medicine of the 21st century." Most doctors are convinced that aging is inherently a disease, which means it can be cured. A similar opinion is shared by Ivan Smirnov, head of the Research Institute of Biomedicine at Altai State University.
Several drugs have already been created that have anti-aging effects. One of these is able to initiate the process of bone marrow regeneration, which helps cancer patients after undergoing chemotherapy. In addition, Altai scientists have now fully completed the preclinical tests of the "anti-aging drug". The objects of experiments for today have been earthworms and mice. They managed to record outstanding results, which showed that the effectiveness of the drug is very high.
