On the bank of the Peruvian river Apurimac, for several thousand years there has been a unique granite boulder measuring 4 X 4 meters, on the top of which a miniature granite city has been carved.
This model of the city includes more than two hundred geometric and zoomorphic figures. This small town has it all: terraces, roads, fields, houses, towers, temples, drainage canals and many other small details. Moreover, all this is carved from solid granite, as the masters of the past did it is unknown, because even modern sculptors will need high-tech equipment to create such a model. Also, such an accurate picture of the city cannot be compiled without using aerial photography.
Historians are still arguing about which ancient civilization to assign the creation of this masterpiece. But most attributed it to the Incas.
It is also an amazing fact that an irrigation system for collecting and removing moisture is fully implemented on this model. If it rains, then the water is clearly distributed through the mini-channels, then enters the tiny fields and, in the end, is removed through the gutters through special holes located throughout the model.
Some scholars have put forward the bold hypothesis that this model was used as a visual aid for future architects and urban planners of the past.
