FAMILY BALANCE …
In the 19th century, a family legend about ghosts was associated with the large Pilikinsky house. They said that a young mistress, who had died without repentance, was walking in it, burnt alive due to careless handling of fire. Such a misfortune really happened to the second wife of the elder brother A. G. Pilikin. According to the recollections of Lyudmila Vasilyevna Fedorova, the granddaughter of Andrei Grigorievich Pilikin, the Pilikinsky "big house" made the inhabitants of the "smaller house" fearful:
“The other house is much larger and the impression is different. There is silence, and we are quiet. There is a change of several dead generations, and therefore there are many different legends. As if some of the dead were walking at night. Especially after the terrible incident with the second, young, beautiful wife of the grandfather's older brother, they began to be afraid. Late in the evening she was waiting for her husband's arrival, lying on the bed and reading the newspaper, dozed off, and the newspaper caught fire from the candle, lit her lace sweater and fluffy skirts; she, waking up from fright, rushed to run and scream; the servants, who came running from below, sleepily, while they figured out what was the matter, the flame engulfed her all, and she was so hot that the hoops from the crinoline became very hot and, falling, burned the floor …”.

In the opinion of the servants, it was “tempting” in each of the four rooms of the mezzanine of the “big house”. Only at the end of the 19th century was the riddle solved by the engineer-builder Deryugin, who was visiting the Pilikins. The whole point, it turns out, is in the location of the two internal stairs. Due to the fact that they were one above the other, a special acoustic effect arose, creating the illusion of movement of an invisible body. Whose wife is this "seducing"? According to family tradition, it is common knowledge that the elder brother in the Pilikin family occupied a “big house”. Pyotr Grigorievich had two wives. Dmitry Grigorievich has three. Therefore, we can assume that the tragic death befell the second wife of Dmitry Grigorievich, Anastasia Mikhailovna. Apparently, after her death, he married for the third time.

Another house in Kungur is associated with ghosts. This is a house on 38 Detskaya Street, formerly Frolovskaya. The first known owners of the mansion were E. P. Yukhnev and his son V. E. Yukhnev. Then the granddaughter of the merchant A. V. Yukhnev owned the house. Dubrovin. At the beginning of the 20th century, a large family of the merchant Vasily Yegorovich Kosulin (1839-1918), a native of the Rybinsk district of the Yaroslavl province, lived in this house. The merchant had 10 children. The sons were fond of hunting, so there were many hunting trophies in the house. The merchant's daughters had beautiful hair, tied in braids and, according to the memoirs of contemporaries, were considered the most beautiful in the city.
The merchant himself has been seriously ill in recent years and moved in a wheelchair. V. E. Kosulin was shot together with his son Ivan in October 1918 during the period of the Red Terror. According to eyewitnesses, the merchant was brought to execution in a wheelchair. The city was horrified.

The merchant's house was nationalized and at various times housed an orphanage, a hostel, and a tuberculosis dispensary. Since 1986 it has hosted a dermatovenerologic dispensary. Dispensary staff said that at night in the wards where the patients were lying, they noticed the hunched figure of an old man dressed in white clothes. He silently glided along the corridor, entered the chambers, as if inspecting his former chambers. We didn't see him every night. The dispensary staff contacted the museum for advice, trying to find out whose ghost they were seeing, asking for the name of the owner of the house.
COMING OUT OF THE MIRROR …
The building of the local history museum is one of the oldest in the city. We also have ghosts. At night, they wander the halls, leaving the large mirror in the corner, triggering the alarm. Alexander Timofeevich Khlebnikov, the famous explorer and guide of the cave, whose sculpture is in the display case, also walks through the halls at night.
