To the west of Krasnoyarsk, near the village of Drokino, there is a high hill that catches the eye when approaching the city along the M53 highway:

Recently, a Christian symbol was installed on the mountain. But since on the side of the mountain before that the word Russia was laid out, then the symbolism in this is above the roof (second slide). But this is a separate topic.

Link to the map.

The mountain is a ridge curved into a ring. And the ridge is quite high (against the background of the surrounding area). I marked the ridge with a line and a career, the type of which I will give in a number of photographs.

In 2015. my like-minded person, Sergey Izofatov, specially traveled to these places and made interesting photos (a link to his album will be below). I suggest you watch them.

A very strange geological picture. The limestone layers contrast sharply with the red clay. And in the sequence: clay-lime-clay. According to geology, limestone layers are the bottom of ancient seas or the result of outcrops of water with a high content of compounds, such as calcium and magnesium salts. To be honest, up to this point I considered the Drokinskaya mountain to be an ancient mud volcano, from which outlets of water-mud masses alternated. But I received clarifying information. About her below.

In lime deposits in some places in the quarries there is pebble - rounded stones. This says that there was once a current here and in the process of mountain building the stones ended up in the hills. But the layers of lime are horizontal, without any signs of bends, breaks, or jams. Another version: the rock was raised into these hills (hypothesis of ancient quarries).

This place is located several tens of meters above the Yenisei level and 10 km from its channel. Too far away for the usual current to somehow throw the rounded stones into this place.

The red clay, which is all around, is the uppermost layers. Red Cambrian clay (according to official geochronology) - mixed with limestone layers. And this photo shows a cavity in red clay. A very strange education. Karst or was something covered and rotted away?

And what does the rock of the Drokino mountain itself look like?

Limestone fragments on the rise and on the top (ridge) of the mountain. Those. it can be argued that this mountain also consists of calcareous masses.

You can see what the Drokinskaya mountain consists of in this short video

Tell me what is so unusual here? There are hundreds, if not thousands, of such hills and even mountains all over Russia. Yes, that's right. And I was in no hurry to show this information, tk. it does not have any bright oddities, not only for the layman, but even for specialists, geologists.

But I decided to voice the version that these were the dumps of ancient quarries after my like-minded person and specialist on this topic, Nikolai Andreev, answered my request and looked with his own method what kind of hill it was. I was waiting for the version of mud volcanoes to be confirmed, but I got the following answer:

For a long time I have been treating Nikolai's words without predominance of skepticism, since and he checked his information with his frame. He, as a specialist (albeit with an unusual method for today), is attracted to prospecting for deposits by many organizations. It is cheaper and more efficient than seismic sounding with instruments.

Earlier, together with him, articles on this topic were written about: what is the Eye of the Sahara, the Eye of the Eagle, the Batagaysky depression in Yakutia and the structure of Konder in the Khabarovsk Territory. You can read them on this channel. Some articles even contain dates.
