For more than 500 years, mummies have hidden the secret of the white-skinned civilization in Peru. Recently, however, American archaeologists have discovered ancient burials in the caves of high mountains, lost in the Peruvian forests near Lake Condor. The found bodies are embalmed in unusual poses: their hands cover their eyes, as if shielding from something terrible. Sometimes mummies sit with their faces buried in their knees.

As local legends say, they were left by a non-existing civilization of fair-haired people of tall stature and extraordinary beauty. According to archaeologists, these people were contemporaries of the Incas, and their existence could cast doubt on the fact of the long-term isolation of the New World.

Such a statement may seem like another fiction, but written evidence has been preserved about the existence of the Chapachoi people, or transcendental people. Once the Incas waged wars against them, and then they themselves were enslaved by the Spanish conquistadors. So, in the Spanish chronicles, white-skinned transcendental people are mentioned, whose women were so beautiful that they amazed the local nobility.

In 1964, archaeologists led by the American explorer Jin Savoy discovered a huge fortress with a rampart and stone walls about a kilometer long on the Chapachoy land in northern Peru. This building is one of the most remarkable throughout South America. During the construction of the fortress, twice as many granite blocks were used than during the construction of the Cheops pyramid in Egypt! 21 years later, the Savoy group made an even more startling discovery. Not far from the fortress, under a dense cover of vegetation, she discovered a giant city with an area of about 80 km2, whose architecture is not at all similar to the Inca style. Zhin Savoy dates its construction to 800. During his research, the archaeologist often met tall blue-eyed blondes and blondes among the local population.“They were very superstitious and considered the found ruins to be enchanted.

Many of them talked about a seven-headed snake that entwined everyone who tried to penetrate the ancient settlement, after which people turned to stone,”said Savoy.

However, the year 1986 was marked by the most surprising and mysterious find for Savoy. Earlier, he had heard rumors of "talking stones" hidden by the Chapachoi people in caves during the Spanish invasions. Historians did not believe in these legends, believing that there was no written language in ancient Peru. Once, climbing the cliff above the ancient city, Savoy came across an ancient tomb, which hid numerous bones and pieces of pottery. Three stone slabs with inscriptions were built into the walls of the tomb. Savoy and his companions were amazed to study them carefully. According to the researchers, the first were the words of the Hebrew language, apparently from ancient Egyptian, Israeli and Phoenician sources. Savoy believes that these plates were brought from Ophir, a mysterious country in eastern Africa or South Asia, where King Solomon equipped ships.

The letters found raised a lot of questions for archaeologists. How in the city of the Chapachoi civilization, built in 800, could there be words from the works of the Old Testament times dating back to the 1st millennium BC? How to explain the peculiarities of the appearance of transcendental people - after all, neither Egypt nor Israel were famous for their tall and white-skinned population.

One can, of course, assume that the Chapachoi were Vikings who migrated to Peru from the shores of the Gulf of St. Lawrence in Canada, where Leif Ericsson equipped an expedition from Greenland. However, the Vikings settled in Greenland only in 986, and Ericsson's expedition took place two years later, that is, almost 200 years after the founding of the chapachoy of his city.

Perhaps the solution is yet to come. Currently, it is planned to analyze the DNA of the found mummies and compare them with the genetic material of modern inhabitants of Peru and the states of the East. And it is quite possible that the hitherto accepted point of view on the isolation of the Old World will have to be reconsidered.
