Currently, it is a museum with mixed styles of Islam and Christianity in architecture, wall painting, religious symbols, since the world's greatest Orthodox church in the middle of the 13th century was captured by the Turks and turned into the Hagia Sophia mosque with the addition of minarets and other Muslim buildings to it. as well as covering with plaster unique frescoes on the walls.

The most amazing thing is that the Cathedral of Hagia Sophia was erected in Constantinople as far back as the 6th century, but due to its architectural grandeur, scale of construction and incredibly delicate and skillful decoration of porphyry and marble, it amazes even modern masters, who unanimously say: today we have there are no such technologies. They are either lost, or in this case unearthly opportunities were used.

No wonder the legend says that the Byzantine Emperor Justinian received the model of this majestic temple from an angel (some ufologists suggest that it was some kind of alien help), it is quite possible that these same "angels" helped build such a majestic and mysterious cathedral. The Hagia Sophia cathedral by itself amazes the imagination of everyone who falls under its fantastic vaults, under the incredible height and beauty of the central "sailing" dome, which seems to float in the air. At least that seems to be the case, especially on a sunny day.

But this temple is also famous for its purely mystical miracles, which are simply impossible to explain by logic and scientific justification. For example, here at first glance there is an ordinary marble slab, which tourists have long been called "sacred stone". The fact is that this mysterious stone is capable of absorbing sunlight during the day and glowing at night.

There is also a “weeping column” in the temple, which is covered with copper and has a small hole where you can stick your finger. So, there is a belief that you will certainly feel moisture with your palm, after which you need to make a wish - and it will certainly come true, if, of course, it is a good wish. It is also believed that if you touch this hole with a sore spot, the disease will soon leave the body. True, for this purpose it is better to go to the Church of the Fulfillment of Wishes, which is also located here in Istanbul … The “cold window” remains no less a mystery of Hagia Sophia, from where even on the hottest day it blows cool, as if an invisible air conditioner is working outside the window.

Finally, the temple has been hiding a niche for so many centuries, from which a mysterious noise is heard. Legend has it that at the moment when the Turks broke into the cathedral, Christians were praying here, and the priest did not even think to interrupt the prayer. But when Turkish sabers flashed over the head of the priest of the temple, the old man suddenly stepped into the wall - and the mysterious niche closed behind him. They say that the priest still reads a prayer there, which is why this unintelligible noise is heard - either the quiet words of the old man, or the wind is making noise. But when the Church of Hagia Sophia becomes Christian again, the old man will certainly come out of the wall and continue the divine service in the name of establishing divine providence on Earth …
