The world's leading geneticist is looking for a female volunteer willing to bear and give birth to a Neanderthal child. Professor George Church is confident that this fantastic plan can be realized.

Geneticist George Church has developed a project very reminiscent of the script for the movie "Jurassic Park", where scientists in the laboratory cloned dinosaurs. However, the professor's ambitious plan has one significant difference - he does not require animals, but human volunteers.

The professor carefully studied the remains of the bones of the Neanderthals and made a genetic analysis of the selected samples. According to the geneticist, the information he received is quite enough to reconstruct the DNA code and resurrect a human species that became extinct 33,000 years ago.

Church's scheme is as follows: he injects a stem cell containing "ancient" DNA into the cells of an early human embryo. Then the geneticist will grow the resulting "neo-Neanderthal" in laboratory conditions for several days, after which he implants the embryo into the uterus of the surrogate mother.

The professor believes that stem cells will influence the formation of a hybrid embryo, which will develop in the direction of a Neanderthal, not a human.

Now the matter is small - to find a woman who voluntarily agrees to this procedure.

“My project depends on a hell of a lot of things, but I think it is quite feasible and can bring benefit to humanity. Neanderthals may have had very different thinking and may have been smarter than us. When the time comes to fight the epidemic, their thinking will serve us well,”says George Church with conviction, adding:“I just have to find a brave volunteer.”

Colleagues of the geneticist say his plan is theoretically possible, although in the UK, as in most countries, human reproductive cloning is a criminal offense.

But there are experts who reacted with caution to the resurrection of an extinct human species: experts believe that neo-Neanderthals will not have strong enough immunity to withstand modern diseases. This means that the hybrid individual will simply die out, never having time to please its creator with a powerful intellect.
