According to closed statistics, several tens of thousands of people disappear in Russia every year. Some of them are found. Alas, some were killed. Others are in hospitals. Still others - from acquaintances, friends or homeless people on the streets of big cities. However, a significant part of the "lost" get the definition of "missing." Experts are more and more inclined to the conclusion: the world around us is multi-layered, like a pie, and "losses" accidentally end up in parallel worlds. And they just can't get out of there.
The bride and groom disappeared from the wedding
This shockingly mysterious story took place 30 years ago in a southern city. There was a wedding in the restaurant. At some point, the newlyweds with laughter retired to one of the back rooms. The guests smiled knowingly, the fun continued. Then the newlyweds were completely lost. They decided that they went home - it was a hard day.
However, the next morning, relatives sounded the alarm. Neither the bride nor the groom showed up. An appeal to the police, as well as an independent search, yielded no results. As if they fell through the ground!
There were two versions in the city: a couple in love was kidnapped into slavery. Or … they accidentally ended up in a parallel world.
The owner of the restaurant remembered that in the back room, where the lovers had retired, an elderly chef disappeared just as mysteriously several years ago. The father of three children, a responsible person could not go on a spree or, for example, secretly leave for another city.
A few years later, the restaurant was demolished and a high-rise building rose in its place. Of course, no traces of the "lost" were found.

It is no coincidence that even professional rescuers make a helpless gesture: a very strange disappearance, the bodies of more than a hundred people seem to have evaporated into thin air.
