Chinese archaeologists have unearthed ancient graves and found 25 human skeletons. The skulls of 11 of them were artificially extended.

Five of them belonged to adults, the rest were children. Including there was the skeleton of a 3-year-old child. The age of the found burials is different, the "youngest" skeleton is dated 5 thousand years, the oldest 12 thousand (Paranormal news - paranormal-news.ru).

At the moment, the Chinese deformed skulls are the oldest in the world and show that the tradition of stretching out heads was formed long before the Neolithic "revolution" (the transition from hunting and gathering to the development of agriculture) took place. Previously, the oldest elongated skulls were those that dated back to 9-10 thousand years.

But why people deliberately pulled out their skulls, scientists still do not know. But it is well known how it was done. The babies' heads were clamped in a special vice or in a device of two boards. In the process, not only the bones of the skull were stretched, but also its contents were deformed. At the same time, the bones of the skull became very thin.

According to one version, the heads were pulled out to the representatives of the nobility, the commoners avoided such a procedure.

Skeletons with elongated skulls were found in an area called Houtaomuga in Jilin Province, and judging by the state of the burials, archaeologists believe they were representatives of the nobility. So the grave of a 3-year-old child with an already elongated skull contained a lot of beautiful ceramics and other valuable artifacts, and numerous decorations were placed on the remains of a woman in another grave.

Excavations at Houtaomuga took place from 2011 to 2015 and subsequently the remains were studied by scientists. The skeletons were dated first by archaeological layers and ceramics, and then additionally by radiocarbon dating.

An article about this amazing find was published in the Journal of Physical Anthropology.

The practice of pulling skulls was among many ancient peoples, in Siberia, South America, China. Scientific versions of the appearance of such a culture are the most vague, scientists simply do not know where this came from, only assuming that it is associated with religion or some kind of social tradition.

Ufologists express themselves much more clearly on this score - people copied the shape of the head of aliens who visited them in ancient times. For a certain period, the aliens stood at the head of the people and were their Teachers, Gods and Rulers in one bottle. When the aliens flew away, the nobility began to artificially stretch their skulls to resemble the ancient "Gods".

Fans of esotericism also have their own version. The supposedly elongated shape of the head facilitated the opening of the "Third Eye" and helped to travel in the astral plane.
