We often complain of lethargy, laziness, bad mood, not realizing that this is a consequence of our wrong way of life. It is curious that modern medicine takes into account the importance of the daily regimen and food intake, but does not pay attention to the many nuances that were known long before our era. All these nuances were described in Ayurveda (translated from Sanskrit - the science of life), part of the Vedic heritage, the most ancient knowledge on our planet. And the amazing thing is that when our contemporaries begin to live according to Vedic principles, they become very cheerful and energetic. Maybe you should heed the advice coming from the depths of the centuries?

Who gets up early

An important rule is described in the Vedas: the morning should be set aside for religion and meditation, the day for activities and making money, and the evening for a pleasant pastime with family and friends.

The ancient sages argued that if you go this way every day, then you will be fine in all three of these directions.

At the same time, there are clear recommendations on how to do all this. For example, morning practice should start very early, the sooner the better.

We all know about the benefits of getting up early, but we prefer to stay up late, and then we barely tear our eyes. After that we have breakfast and feel that we already want to sleep again, but we have no strength for work, communication, and even more so for any achievements at all.

And people who live according to Vedic principles, by 9 o'clock in the morning, have already done a lot of things, they are cheerful and full of strength. Because, according to the Vedas, a person should wake up as early as possible, no later than 7 am. A man should get up earlier than a woman, she needs more time to rest and sleep, and in general it is recommended to pamper herself and constantly enjoy life. (A man, on the other hand, must be more ascetic and constantly overcome various obstacles - in this case, he is constantly moving forward, and not degrading).

After sleep, you should drink a glass of water on an empty stomach (just not ice cold and not very cold), which starts the intestines and flushes out all excess from the body.

Then you should take a cool shower (ablution), because water, according to the Vedas, cleanses not only the physical, but also the subtle body from all unnecessary.

Before going to bed, you should also take a bath to wash away all the bad things.

Water, as the ancient sages believed, is generally the most useful for humans, and in all its forms. You need to constantly drink water, wash your face as often as possible, wash your hands, take baths, swim, look at the water, etc.

Interestingly, people who regularly get up very early in the morning and take a shower have little to no depression. Agree, it's much nicer and healthier (and cheaper) than having antidepressants and spending hours in doctors' offices.

beauty is in the eye of the beholder

After a morning shower, a person should set himself up for the new day, both physically, spiritually and mentally. As we remember, morning is a time for religion and meditation. In the morning it is good to do yoga, breathing exercises, meditate, (for believers - pray), imagine what you can do today.

If you don't really believe in spiritual practices, then you can just watch or read something good and interesting in the morning.

But don't start your day by reading or watching bad news on the Internet or on TV. The ancient sages, of course, did not write anything about news from the Web, but they were sure that the eyes absorb what they see. It was believed that if a woman looks at flowers, at beautiful trees, at a full-flowing river, then her eyes will become beautiful. In the morning we observe a lot of very unpleasant things that remain with us for a long time, making it difficult to enjoy life and move forward.

Eat to live

After morning procedures, yoga, meditation - breakfast time. The most ideal time for him is from 6 to 7 in the morning. Bad news for lovers of fatty bacon or pancakes in the morning - according to Ayurveda, one should eat fruits or dried fruits, buckwheat, sweets, nuts, honey, cottage cheese and cheese in the morning.

It is curious that the ancients did not advise eating flour in the morning, because it takes away the energy of the mind. And nowadays, when most people are engaged not in physical, but in mental work, this energy is simply necessary.

After breakfast, you can safely start work, which should go before lunch. The ideal time for him is 12-00 and no later than 13-00. During this time, you can eat bread, soups, any grain products, legumes, herbs, cheese, hot stews and baked, as well as fresh vegetables.

After such a lunch, a person does not feel sleepy, and he is ready to continue working until dinner. Dinner should also be early - around 6 pm and light. These are stewed vegetables, dairy products, tea with spices or milk.

An hour before bedtime, you can drink a soothing tea, eat dried fruits, honey, Vedic sweets. (I'll tell you about them next time - these are very tasty and healthy treats).

Evening is the time allotted for loved ones, for communication, for joint walks, classes, rest. And calm preparation for early sleep (don't forget about an evening shower or bath). I assure you, if you wake up at 5-6 in the morning, you will fall asleep very early and calmly.

The Vedas say that a person rests and gains strength until 12 at night, so every hour of sleep until that time is very important for your health.

The healthiest Ayurveda foods

Honey, milk and dairy products, vegetables, herbs, fruits, berries, cereals, legumes, nuts, seeds - for example, sunflower or sesame seeds.

A special place is occupied by spices: turmeric, coriander, black pepper, dried ginger, etc. Spices must be used in food, and they are even added to tea and milk.

Chapatis recipe

In India, in all cafes and restaurants, instead of bread, yeast-free cakes of various types are served, mainly chapatis. It's very easy to make them. Mix 2.5 cups flour, 2/3 cup warm water and salt. You can (but not necessarily) add a tablespoon of butter (preferably ghee). Knead a hard dough, leave it for half an hour. Then heat a frying pan, roll out thin cakes and fry them without adding oil on both sides.

We grow up to a hundred years …

Sometimes you can hear that I am an owl, I like to work at night and sleep during the day. But in fact, there are no owls - there are people who have lost the rhythm of life.

And a person who does not sleep all night burns out very quickly. While he is young, he rests on the internal resources of the body, which are constantly depleted in this mode, especially if a person constantly spurs himself on with energy drinks, coffee, cigarettes, alcohol. And by the age of 30-40, such people begin to have serious health problems.

Nowadays, no one is surprised by heart attacks or strokes in young people, and, according to Vedic treatises, a person's life expectancy should be at least 100 years. And this is not just 100 years of life, but 100 years of active life, when a person is full of strength, energy, both physical and mental.

Of course, it is difficult to expect from a person who gets up late all his life, eats a lot of flour and fat for breakfast, avoids physical activity, that he will immediately rebuild his life according to the rules of Ayurveda.

But if you start to take even small steps in this direction, then your life will also change a little. Wake up not at 10 am, but at 9. Replace at least one glass of soda with clean water. Instead of mindlessly surfing the Internet, take a bath.

And you will feel how you have more strength and energy. As the ancients said: "The wise give time to poetry and sciences, the foolish - to vices, sleep and quarrels." Choose who you are and what your future will be …
