Archaeologists from the United States of America have found evidence in Alaska that the Asians knew about the existence of North America and organized trade with it even before the New World was discovered by Christopher Columbus in the fifteenth century.

Corey Cooper, a specialist at Purdue University in Wes Lafayette, United States of America, says: “This was not a surprise or a great revelation for us, based on past finds and the oral history of the Indians. We found that Asia and America traded metals, we believe that these alloys were created in Eurasia, from there they came to America through Siberia and the Bering Strait to the ancestors of the Eskimos, who then lived in Alaska."

The discovery was made when scientists examined artifacts and tools that were found at one of the sites of the ancient inhabitants of Alaska from the Eskimo tribes in Tula. According to official data, they had a sedentary lifestyle, and experts discovered a huge number of cultural monuments in the permafrost, which include six metal objects.

Cooper adds that such finds are a real rarity, since metal tools and ornaments were considered rare in those days and the locals appreciated them, and they used them until they were completely worn out, being inherited.
