Passengers at Japan's Narita International Airport, located in Tokyo, will soon be assisted by Panasonic's Hospi® robotic assistants. Testing of the new assistants began at the airport and at the adjacent ANA Crowne Plaza hotel.

Panasonic developed these robots a couple of years ago, and now they are gradually improving their design and software, adapting to various tasks. Due to the fact that they are completely independent, they are perfectly oriented with the help of built-in sensors and, thanks to the cards loaded in memory, they do not make noise, but they do their job quickly, they are already used in four Japanese hospitals - there they help doctors and orderlies bring medicines and various other items … Electronic assistants are capable of working in both semi-automatic and autonomous mode.

Soon the robots will begin to be tested at the airport and the hotel, where they will clean the tables, and while they warm up in the hotel lobbies, where they deliver cold water to visitors, along the way informing them of the schedule of buses going to the airport. These cute guys know Chinese, Japanese and English and can communicate using text messages on the display.

Testing will not last very long, only a few days, and will end on January 27 this year.
