If humanity manages to create a colony on Mars, then earthlings will not be able to enter into intimate relationships with the inhabitants of Mars, since the latter will be representatives of a slightly different species.

So, according to the publication Inverse, says Scott Solomon of Rice University (United States of America).

“The intimate relationship between earthlings and the descendants of the colonizers of Mars can be very dangerous, since the Martians will undergo rapid mutations and acquire quite significant differences from ordinary people. Accordingly, people and Martians will not be able to have children,”says the American scientist.

Solomon is sure that the colonizers of the Red Planet will differ from earthlings, for example, in denser bones, features of vision, different skin pigmentation, better absorption of oxygen, and, most importantly, a different immune system.

A couple of years ago, Scott Solomon published the book "Future Humans: Inside the Science of Our Continuing Evolution", in which he set out about the same views, but in a more detailed form.
