Scientists conducted an experiment in which they studied 333 cases of meeting people with ghosts. It was revealed that most of the ghosts were previously male.

British experts found an interesting pattern: the British were more likely to meet with ghosts who were men during their lifetime. They also noticed that if a ghost is unfamiliar to a person, then he most likely died a violent death, and those who died naturally were more often shown to friends or relatives.

The experiment was not carried out for the first time: Icelandic psychologist Erlendur Haraldsson wrote many books and works on the topic of ghosts, from which it follows that ghosts belong to those who have suffered painful death, for example in fights or wars, and men suffer from such deaths more often.

Thanks to his experiments and observations, the psychologist came to the conclusion that about 30% of Americans and Europeans have met with phantoms at least once in their lives.

“Those people who have experienced some great tragedy in their lives are more likely to meet with ghosts,” say representatives of the British Society for Paranormal Research.
