The incident happened in the summer of 2016 in Nizhny Novgorod.

On Friday, as usual, I'm going to work close to time. Options for how long to run in the metro (and everything is on schedule, without failures) at the metro station. I have “Zarechnaya”: at 8.23, 8.29 and 8.35. The intervals between trains are 6 minutes. Drive to the final metro station. "Gorkovskaya" - exactly 13 minutes.

If I take the first of these passing trains, I can get to work without any problems. If on the second - I have time somehow. If the third option is to arrive at the Gorkovskaya metro station at 8.48 am and I do not have time by 9.00: this is because after the metro there are 5 bus stops to go to pl. Minin, then another 4 minutes walk to the place of work.

So, I'm going in an emergency so that (and I still have to go through 1 stop to the metro station "Zarechnaya", it takes 6-7 minutes) to catch at least the second "option" from the above, that is, at 8.29.

I ought to run straight ahead at breakneck speed, but I understand intellectually that the personnel department will not arrange a check for lateness on Friday; emergency at work, thank God, no; my office colleague is on vacation, so it won't be uncomfortable … I make a decision: I will calmly take the “late” train at 8.35 to arrive at 8.48. Well, well, I'll be late; after so many years of work I can already afford …

As a result, the time is 8.25 (and I control it, and not on just one clock: firstly, on TV, secondly, on an alarm clock, and thirdly - a watch is on my wrist), without any hurry, I leave the house (also I threw out the garbage along the way) to the station "Zarechnaya"; I come with a spare time, I am not torn anywhere. I calmly buy a token, wait for the train for about a minute …

That is, about ten minutes have passed, and that's 8.35. I sit down - that is, I get into the carriage … I am going through station 1 … The doors are closing. Entering the metro station "Leninskaya", a woman stands nearby; with her left hand she holds onto the handrail right in front of my face; she has a watch on her hand. Just in case, I watch the time: we have passed one section, it should be about 8.38, no less …

But nothing of the kind: she only has 8.26 on her watch!

That is, the situation is such as if I was on the train, which passes the metro station. "Zarechnaya" … at 8.23. But I only left the house at 8.25! While I threw in the trash, I walked 1 stop, entered the subway, bought a token, waited for the train …

Okay, I think - the woman's clock is out of order; Now I will come to Gorkovskaya, there I will look at the scoreboard, and it will definitely be 8.48 there.

I'm coming. The time on the scoreboard is 8.37.

That is: upon arrival, I was traveling on a train, not just previous (this is at 8.29) to the one on which I sat (at 8.35), but even earlier - at 8.23!.. My watch - finally I looked at it - also show 8.37. Despite the fact that I took the first step out of the house along them (!) At 8.25, and it took 13 minutes to go only by metro.

It turned out as if I stepped out of the house directly into the subway car, and even arrived a minute faster than the usual train goes. I somehow "saved" about 11 minutes of time.

Until the arrival by bus to the square. Minin from the metro station "Gorky" - I do not believe myself, and the clock around. I have more than enough time to get to work, with a spare time. The people around the corridors are still coming to work. I enter the office - by the wall clock - at 8.53.

Now, remembering that morning, I realize that the time interval is roughly the walking path from the middle of the way to the metro station. “Zarechnaya”, buying a token, staying at the station and the period of time on the train before looking at someone else's watch - it was strange, as if shrouded in haze, light, airy …

In general, I would not refuse to get into the vortex of the flow of time every day - so that I would be late without being late. But, alas, "this never happens again."
