In the future, it will be possible to travel around the world in vacuum transport in six hours. Airplanes and trains will be replaced by Evacuated Tube Transport (ETT), which will be safer, cheaper and quieter than their predecessors, the developers say.
The rapid transit system of the future is being developed by Evacuated Tube Transport Technologies (ET3). Its owner, Florida-based inventor Daryl Oster, came up with the name and concept of this technology back in the early nineties, and even received a patent for it in 1997.
As Oster believes, traveling through vacuum tubes, six-seat capsules weighing only 183 kg will be able to reach a phenomenal speed of 6,500 km / h, while using much less energy than traditional means of transportation.
This will allow passengers to travel from New York to Los Angeles in just 45 minutes, from New York to Beijing in two hours, and travel around the world in six hours.
