Classical science is known for its skepticism about everything that is somehow connected with the soul. Therefore, she refers such a phenomenon as reincarnation to the category of "grandmother's tales."

However, not all scientists agree with this approach, and it is thanks to such enthusiasts that we have access to very interesting research.

Joel Whitton, professor of psychiatry at the University of Toronto School of Medicine, used hypnosis to find out if his patients had past lives.

90% of the hypnosis subjects he researched reported having lived before. The study involved people from all walks of life, some of them believed in reincarnation, and some did not.

In their messages there were many similar moments, they all reported that the soul has no gender and they happened to be both men and women. Also, most of them argued that the meaning of rebirth is to develop and learn, and each new incarnation contributes to this.

Some of the subjects, recalling their past life in a trance, even spoke in languages unknown to them, which were later identified by experts as ancient dialects. For many, birthmarks, body structure or childhood fears were associated with past incarnations.

Contrary to theories that people "ascribe" to themselves out of self-esteem the past of famous personalities, Whitton's patients remembered themselves as ordinary people. They were often peasants, workers and townspeople, not emperors or fatal beauties.

After spending literally thousands of hours recording the memories of his patients, Whitton was unequivocally convinced that reincarnation exists. He wrote the book Life between life, where he described in detail the experiences of his patients.

However, needless to say that official science will never agree with him …
