The woman, who is one of the most famous mediums in Great Britain, said that she was the first to photograph the famous ghost of a girl with black eyes.

57-year-old medium Christine Hamlett from Northwich, UK, reported that she took the first picture of the ghost of a black-eyed girl who is notorious among the British. The woman claims to have captured a ghost in the wasteland of Cannock Chase, Staffordshire, where it appeared after a 30-year absence.

According to Hamlett, the legendary ghost that terrorized the inhabitants of Cannock Chase is the restless soul of a child who died from a curable but previously fatal disease such as smallpox or diphtheria.

“On Friday, I was able to photograph a girl in Birch Valley, where she was last seen,” Christina told the Birmingham Mail. “She is most likely one of the many spirits of children who died of diphtheria or smallpox. I came into contact with them, and they all ask for help, but do not want to be helped to return to the light."

Hamlett is not the first to rush to Birch Valley after the legendary black-eyed ghost was discovered. However, it was she, and not the other ghost hunters, who first managed to capture the eerie phantom.

Christina revealed the secret, according to her, of a successful shot to the Mirror journalist.

“I used the glass and water technique,” she explained. "This means that I photographed the ghost through the water between the mirror and glass, and not in the traditional way."

The British thinks that the spirit of a child who died in one of the workhouses, which was not much different from prisons, and was buried in an unmarked grave, is wandering in the wasteland.

“These children want to be heard, they want to tell their stories, and therefore they draw attention to themselves with black eyes,” added Hamlett.

As previously reported on FederalPost, the ghost of a black-eyed girl has reappeared in Cannock Chase through a letter from a local resident addressed to paranormal researcher Lee Brickley.
