On July 6, before dinner, the leader of Detachment 7 Natalya Malashkina took the children for a walk. We stopped at a forest glade. Children, as usual, ran and played. Ruslan Lutsky, a fourth-grade student of Minsk school No. 60, went into the forest to pick blueberries. Soon he ran back in panic. Pale, very frightened, Ruslan said that he saw a monster of enormous growth, overgrown with thick wool. It looked vaguely human.
Almost all the children, languishing with curiosity, rushed to where Ruslan returned to the clearing from the forest. In less than a few minutes, they ran back in great terror with a squeal. And they shouted, addressing the pioneer leader:
The correspondent of the Minsk monthly newspaper, having learned about the incident, hastily went to the pioneer camp "Festivalny". There he interviewed eyewitnesses and published their stories in his newspaper.
Eyewitnesses - fourth-graders Vitalik Morev, Valya Borozna, Ira Strakholis, Pasha Vodyan and many others are sure that they "met an alien." Some of them claim that they saw him in full growth, most - only his head, which protruded from the trees. The scarecrow, they said, was incredibly tall, overgrown with blond hair, without a nose, and roared like a bear.
A dictaphone recording of the correspondent's conversation with the children has been preserved (not found on the Internet). During the conversation, such remarks were heard: "A siren sounded like a siren in the sky, and a black plate suddenly appeared over the head of the monster …", "A round mirror hung in the air and sounded …", "Above the neighboring camp" Solnechny "hung" a flying saucer "…", "A mirror in the sky was shining with yellow lights, smoke was pouring out of it …"
