In 1753, an ancient lost city was found in the jungle of Brazil. At least that's what it says in Manuscript 512, an old document kept in the National Library of Rio de Janeiro.
The factual manuscript is the only evidence of the existence of a mysterious city, which, apparently, was built by an ancient highly developed civilization. The document is a 10-page expeditionary report entitled "Historical Relation about an unknown and large settlement, the oldest, without inhabitants, which was discovered in 1753".
The manuscript appears to have been compiled by a group of Indian hunters. First they stumbled upon mountains with sparkling crystals, and then at their foot they found a path leading through mountain ranges. Having passed along it, the detachment saw a large city.
The bounty hunters did not dare to go straight to the settlement. First, a detachment of scouts was sent, who reported that the city was empty. Not believing this, other scouts went to the city, who confirmed any absence of residents in the found settlement.
At dusk, the group moved to the mysterious city. The only entrance to it passed through an impromptu gate in the form of three arches - one large in the center and two smaller ones on the sides. Then streets with houses began, and in the center of the city there was a square with a statue of a certain person pointing with his hand to the north. The city was located on the banks of the river and had a fairly picturesque embankment. There was also a temple and a ruler's palace in the settlement.

As stated in Manuscript 512, there were mines near the city where gold and silver were mined. It is interesting that the author of the manuscript stated in his text that he intends to keep the secret of the location of the city and the mines, so he did not tell how to get to this mysterious settlement.
In 1925, one of the most famous travelers of the 20th century, Percival Fawcett, set out in search of the lost city in the jungle of Brazil. He never returned, and the story of the lost Fawcett expedition soon became more popular than the mystery of the lost Brazilian city.
