One of the features of UFO behavior is their reaction to interception attempts. They reacted differently to fighters approaching UFOs, in some cases they simply disappeared.

In March 1967, an unidentified disc-shaped object hovered over a rocket base in North Dakota, about 150 m high, and began to circle. Three vehicles with soldiers were dispatched to capture him if he landed. At the same time, F-106 fighters took off, but before they got close the object quickly rose and disappeared.

On October 8, 1990, near the city of Grozny in Chechnya, a silhouette of an unknown object flying at an altitude of 4500 m suddenly appeared on the radar screens. The pilot of a fighter returning to base, Major P. Rabishev, received the coordinates of this object and the task of recognizing it. However, upon arriving at the place, he did not notice anything although the weather was cloudless. He reported this, and when he returned to the airport, on the right, he saw two huge cigar-like UFOs flying sideways at great speed. One of them was about 400 meters long and the other was even larger.

They were perfectly visible. According to the command post, their distance from the aircraft was about 15 km. Rabishev directed the fighter towards the cigars, but they quickly disappeared.

In October 1948, an American fighter jet tried six times to approach an unknown elongated object flying over Japan. Each time, the object moved away from the aircraft at a speed of over 10,000 km / h, and then, as if playing with the pilot, slowed down again.

In November 1976, four French Mirage fighters were sent to track a UFO that appeared over Marseilles. The pilot of one of them reported seeing a large object at an altitude of 3000 m, surrounded by a gas cloud. When the Mirage approached the UFO, it increased its speed to 3600 km / h and hid.

It also happened that the UFOs themselves began chasing fighters or organized something similar to air battles with them.

Such an incident occurred on the night of November 6-7, 1950. An American fighter pilot saw a moving luminous object and decided to climb on the tail. But it, without making any turns, unexpectedly crashed into the plane with great speed and flashed just above it at an altitude of 30-60 m. Then the pilot turned again to be behind the object. The situation was repeated five to six times: each time the object accelerated and flew low over the plane. When the plane steeply climbed 60 degrees, the UFO flew around it at twice the speed. Finally the pilot stopped chasing and returned to base.

A major commotion in the US Air Force caused an incident in December 1952 in Laredo, Texas. When the F-51 pilot approached an unknown disc-shaped object during flight, he immediately began to describe circles around the aircraft. After several dizzying maneuvers, the pilot tried to chase him and then the disk headed straight for the plane at high speed and hooked on the right wing of the plane. Seeing that the UFO was about to repeat the maneuver, the pilot went down and landed successfully. In a state of severe shock, he was taken to the hospital.

Many similar cases have been reported in different countries. They show that attempts to attack and fire at UFOs can lead to casualties among humans and fighters, as well as possibly other unintended consequences.
