Abaasy - (folklore of the Yakut peoples), a huge stone monster, which has iron teeth. It lives in a forest or underground, as far as possible from people. A monster is born from a stone that has a black color, very similar to a child. And the older he becomes, the more the stone looks like a child. Initially, the monster feeds on everything that a person does, but in an adult state, he begins to devour people.
Sometimes they can be referred to as anthropomorphic one-eyed one-legged creatures of large stature (with a tree). Abaasy eat the souls of people and animals, are engaged in the temptation of people, as well as the fact that they send misfortunes and diseases, can drive you crazy. Often the family of a sick or deceased person sacrificed an animal to Abaasy, thus trying to exchange his soul for the soul of a man, which he threatens.
Basilisk is a monster with the head of a rooster, the eyes of a toad, the wings of a bat and the body of a dragon, which exists in the myths of different peoples. Everything turns to stone from his gaze. According to legend, if the Basilisk looks at himself through the mirror, he will die. Basilisks live in caves, and there they get food - no wonder, because they only eat stones. It seems possible for him to leave the shelter only at night, because the Basilisk cannot stand the crows of a rooster. And also he is afraid of unicorns, for those are too “pure” creatures.
Yrka (in the mythology of the Slavs) is an evil spirit of the night, which has dark eyes on a dark face that glow like a cat. It is considered extremely dangerous on the night of Ivan Kupala, but only in the fields, because the goblin do not let him into the woods. It can be suicidal. Yrka attacks lonely travelers and drinks their blood. And Ukrut, who is his helper, brings him in sacks of mischievous people, from whom Yrka drinks life. The monster is very afraid of fire, and therefore does not approach the fire. You can be saved from him: in no case should you look around, even when they call out in a familiar voice, you cannot answer anything, you just need to say “mind me” three times or read the prayer “Our Father”.

Buka is a scarecrow. This is a small evil creature that lives in the closets of the children's room or under the bed. Only children can see him, and they also suffer from him, because Buka loves to attack them at night - to grab them by the leg and drag them under the bed or into the closet. Cannot stand the light, because it can die from it, and is also afraid of the faith of adults. Afraid that adults might believe in him.
Grims - (medieval European beliefs) live throughout Europe. Basically, they can be found on them in the old cemeteries, which are located near the churches. Therefore, these creatures are sometimes also called church make-up.
These creatures can take on many forms, but they mostly take on the appearance of large dogs with black fur and eyes that glow in the night. It is possible to see Grims only in rainy or cloudy weather. This creature appears in the cemetery in the evening, or during the day during the funeral. Often they howl under the windows of seriously ill people, thereby heralding their impending death. It also happens that some makeup that is not afraid of heights climbs into the church bell tower at night and starts ringing the bells, which is recognized as an extremely bad omen.
