The town of San Zhi was supposed to become a real paradise for local financial tycoons: futuristic houses, carefully thought out infrastructure, nature reminiscent of the threshold of paradise … And dozens of workers who died at the beginning of construction. By the time the project was completed, all of Taiwan knew about San Zhi's notoriety. It suddenly turned out that the city was built on the site of a former Japanese death camp, after which investors were unable to sell a single house. The authorities of the country cannot even demolish the cursed place: the local residents are afraid that this will free the ghosts.

One of the "horror stories" says that the soil of the island is 40% human ash. The gloomy, dilapidated building still grins at the world with the fragments of window bars.
