Log is a small village in the Ilovlinsky district of the Volgograd region. Pilgrims from all over Russia and even foreign countries come here. The reason for this is the amazing Kazan icon of the Mother of God, which grants people healing and helps in truly desperate situations.
Contrary to the forecasts of doctors, death retreated
The village church of the first-highest Peter and Paul keeps a notebook in which grateful parishioners write that, desperate to overcome a serious illness, they went to Log to ask for help from the icon of the Most Holy Theotokos. And, despite the fatal predictions of medical luminaries, faith and prayer returned the lost health to people. There are dozens of similar records containing the names, addresses and phone numbers of healed people in the notebook. In reality, there are many more wonderful stories.
46-year-old resident of Volgograd Natalya Savelyeva doctors in fact pronounced a verdict: cancer in the fourth stage. The woman was recognized as inoperable, but she insisted on surgical intervention. As the doctors had warned, after the operation, Natalia's illness only began to progress faster.
The woman was discharged home to die. The stitches on her stomach were bleeding, Natalya suffered hellish pains and was so exhausted that she dreamed of dying as soon as possible. Her daughter went to church to pray and light a candle, hoping to somehow ease the suffering of the dying woman. In the church, a young woman got into conversation with one of the parishioners, and she advised me to go to Log, where the miraculous icon of the Kazan Mother of God is located. So Natalia's daughter did.
She returned from a trip with a photo reproduction of this icon, which Natalya attached to the seams - the most painful place. The bandage there was soaked through with brilliant green, and therefore the icon soon also turned green, it was difficult to see the very face of the Virgin on it. Natalya was afraid that by staining the icon, she had committed a great sin. I tried to wash at least one corner, but only damaged the picture. At night, Natalya put him on the bedside table. In the morning, the woman was in for a real shock: the photograph was clean. At first Natalya thought that the picture had been changed, however, small specks in the place where she tried to wipe the brilliant green, as well as some damage on the reproduction itself, indicated that the photo was the same. Natalya decided that she was given a special sign and she would be cured.

A few days later, Natalya's son-in-law came from the dacha and brought vegetables wrapped in a newspaper. This old newspaper turned out to be an article about the source of holy water. Natalia decided that in this way the Mother of God suggested to her the way to salvation.
The sick woman spent two months at the healing spring. Natalia had to overcome a lot during this period, but she was supported and strengthened by hope. At some point, a slow recovery began.
Six months later, Natalya was examined at the clinic. The doctors did not believe that this was possible, but their conclusion confirmed: a miracle had happened, the woman was absolutely healthy.
Where did the bleeding icon come from?
Priest Alexander Loban is the rector of the church in the Log settlement. He said that once there was already a temple dedicated to the holy apostles Peter and Paul, but in the 1930s it was destroyed by the Bolsheviks. A new temple of the same name appeared in the village in 1998 through the efforts of a dozen local grandmothers, who were supported by the local authorities. People began to bring images to the new temple, which had previously been their family heirlooms. This is how this old icon appeared here - in a tarnished tin vestment, a half-broken icon case … The Kazan Icon of the Mother of God bleed after Christmas in 2003.
From that time on, a real pilgrimage of the suffering began to Log. The miraculous icon helped people with non-healing wounds, infertility, oncology, heart disease. They resorted to her help in business matters, litigation, division of inheritance … This is evidenced by the entries made in the notebook we have already mentioned. The whole country learned about the miraculous icon, and the news about it crossed the borders of Russia. Father Alexander admits that he still does not know how people living far from here learned about the small village of Log and the icon that gives healing. Once he saw a woman with a suitcase on the porch of the temple. It turned out that she had come from Kiev, having seen a dream about the Log and about an icon that would help her recover. And there are hundreds of similar stories …
