In Colombia, near the city of Manizales, a week after the tragic events, when as a result of landslides, almost thirty people died and went missing, not counting hundreds of wounded and evacuated and almost eight dozen houses destroyed, a divine image appeared in the sky.
Residents of Manizales, where twenty-five districts had just been hit by a landslide, were amazed and surprised by this miracle. The image of Jesus Christ that appeared in the sky did not so much frighten as it puzzled believing Christians: what would that mean?
Many of them took this as a sign of humility in the face of any disasters, since they are followed by eternal life in heaven. Other Colombians considered the heavenly sign to be a warning so that Christians would reconsider their lives and their relationship to God. Scientists, skeptics and materialists have found their own explanation for this, basically similar to the familiar and long-boring reference to natural phenomena.
