Hollywood has a long tradition of damn movies. These are mysterious, often tragic accidents, which are believed to be caused by evil spirits who decided not to let the film on the screens, writes The Independent.
The Wizard of Oz (1939)
One of the first damn movies. Margaret Hamilton (Wicked Western Witch) suffered severe burns when her makeup overheated. Since then, the legend of the curse has been snowballing. In the course of theatrical performances of The Wizard of Oz, accidents have also been repeatedly recorded. The performers of the role of the Wicked Western Witch were especially unlucky.
The Poltergeist Trilogy (1982-1988)
In six years, four actors associated with the Poltergeist series have died. Most notable was the death of 12-year-old Heather O'Rourke, who played Carol Ann. O'Rourke was admitted to the hospital with suspected influenza and died the next day. Dominic Dunn, 22, died at the hands of her jealous boyfriend. Julian Beck, 60 (Detective Kane), died of stomach cancer. 53-year-old Will Sampson, who played a medic, performed a ritual of exorcism on the set - he died a year later of kidney failure. Some argue that the spirits of the dead were pissed off as real human bones were used in the filming.
The Raven (1994)
According to Brendan Lee's school friends, he was once predicted that he would die suddenly on set, just like his father, martial arts legend Bruce Lee. The prediction came true - Lee died eight days before the end of filming of Raven. Brendan was shot while filming a scene from the hero's past, which showed how his character, Eric Draven, actually died. He died due to a stuck bullet in the barrel of the pistol while firing blank cartridges.

Superman (1951 onwards)
The "Superman" curse usually overtakes actors who play goodies. The most famous victims of the curse were George Reeves and Christopher Reeve. George Reeves played Superman in the 1950s. Rosemary's Baby (1968)
In the sixties, Roman Polanski's films were known for their portrayal of mysterious forces. However, this story of a pregnant woman, whose child they want to sacrifice to the devil, returned to the director himself in August 1969 - then Charles Manson killed Polanski's pregnant wife Sharon Tate. Beginning with the film "Disgust" (1965), there are inexplicable parallels between Polanski's work and Manson's life. Over the years, both the director and the killer developed an interest in the occult. The curse also affected the death of John Lennon - Manson and his followers called their murders "Helter Skelter" after the song of the same name "The Beatles", and Lennon died near the Dakota apartment building in New York, where "Rosemary's Baby" was filmed.

Actor Daniel Craig, playing the role of Bond, also suffered. A few days ago, he was rushed to the hospital when the actor's fingertip was cut off. In another incident, Craig cut his face, which required eight stitches. After one of the falls, they feared that the leading actor broke his ribs.
Then a fire in the pavilions of Pinewood Studios damaged the set for the film. And in Austria, the technician who worked on the film was attacked with a knife by his wife. The mayor of one of the cities of Panama, Carlos Lopez, was arrested for driving into the set in an attempt to interfere with work.
But in spite of everything that happens, it is too early to say that "Quantum of Solace" is cursed: all the incidents were associated either with powerful equipment, or occurred during the filming of dangerous scenes. The main curse of the film is rather a name that is impossible to remember, the newspaper notes.
