As American astronomers say, one of the brightest stars of Betelgeuse may soon explode in space, making it possible to observe a second sun in the sky, which will burn both day and night.

Experts from other countries also speak about this unusual astronomical event. However, there is no exact date when the star's explosion should occur. So, scientists have already confirmed the information that Betelgeuse has already exhausted all its resources and can explode at any moment. Other researchers believe that the star may simply go out and not explode.

In turn, astronomers from Australia predicted the explosion of the star for 2013, but it did not come true. It is expected that such a rare sight will be available for viewing by ordinary people, without the use of special devices for observation, and will last for several weeks. It is not reported, the population of which regions will not be able to monitor this rare phenomenon. At the same time, a significant part of the scientific community notes that the possibility of a Betelgeuse explosion is present, but with a negligible probability this will happen in the near future.

Recall that such predictions made a special resonance in 2012, when the whole world was expecting the end of the world according to the calendar left by the ancient Mayan civilization.
