A small village, one of many in New Zealand, there are only a few houses, a mill and a church. The church is visited twice a week, but the mill is open all year round. It’s not just a matter of grinding the crops gathered in the fields surrounding the village, but an inn next to it. Both buildings date back to the early 19th century.

Old mill

No details, tragic events or stories from the past in relation to the mill are known, and nothing can be said about any supernatural events of the past that could entail the consequences that are taking place today. The old hotel looks like a kind of military fortification, perhaps the owner was involved in the service. The first mentions of ghosts date back to the time of housewarming. In honor of this event, a brother came to the owner of the house. After spending the night in the guest room, the brother slept rather restlessly, in the middle of the night he was awakened by a knock, reminiscent of the noise of a walking stick, and he also heard footsteps. Deciding to see who was in the hallway, my brother got out of bed. However, a surprise awaited him, in the doorway there was a man with a cane in his hands. My brother quickly ran up, but the silhouette disappeared. At first, the story of the ghost was not taken seriously, referring to the stormy celebration of the meeting, but later others encountered ghosts.

Two friends

After a short time, two girls stopped in the village to spend the night, since guests in these parts are not often, the first person they met pointed to the inn. A room was rented for a small fee. In order to save money, the travelers rented one room for two. On the first night, the canopy was torn from their bed. No particular significance was attached to this, and the next night was spent here. On the second night, the contact was clear. In the moonlit room, a draft suddenly passed, after which the girls woke up. Suddenly, there was a strong push from the bed, and immediately the silhouette of a woman swept through the room. The owner of the hotel came running to the guests' shouts, but no one was found. The rest of the time, no one slept, and in the morning the visitors left the village.

The mill today

Since then, encounters with ghosts in these places have been a common thing, however, the residents of Wellington are only in the hands of the visitors who like to tickle their nerves bring local merchants a good income.
