Residents of the Lake View area in the north of Chicago (USA) have heard an annoying buzzing sound for at least 2-3 weeks, the source of which was impossible to determine.
At the same time, not every person hears it.
All victims live in houses located between Clark Street and Halsteth Street and, according to them, they hear this unusual sound both in the morning and during the day and late in the evening. That is, it is not associated with the work of city services.
As reported by CBS Chicago, a lot of people are asking "What is this sound?" and "Why do I hear him, but my neighbor hears nothing?"
The Lake View area has a lot of traffic, but this humming sound does not seem to be associated with traffic either.
Lindsay Hoffman heard the noise last Thursday when she went out for a walk as usual with her little son Joe. The street where Leeds lives is located off the busy highways and has always been relatively quiet, but on Thursday, the woman immediately heard this terrible buzzing sound when she went out with her son.

Another Lake View resident, Stephanie Borowski, describes the unusual sound as shrill. She also says that this is very different from the usual city noise in the area.
Many other residents of the area also felt the unusual sound and began to write about it on Facebook. But a huge number of other residents do not seem to notice him at all. Including little Joe, Lindsay Hoffman's son, says he does not hear any intrusive buzzing sound or any strange sound at all.
Audiologist Dr. Akbar Razvi says this is not surprising. Some people hear certain sounds that others do not, because everyone's hearing sensitivity is different.
Dr. Razvi says a detective investigation is needed to determine the source of this unusual noise.
Stephanie Borowski once attempted this. She heard the sound when she was near the parking lot, but when she walked around, she could not determine where he was coming from.
And the man who lives in a large high-rise building is sure that the sound comes from a massive air circulation block on the third floor of the building's garage. To test this conjecture, the home owner submitted a request to test the ventilation system.
