“What is the way to change the Time to choose for the construction? Neither chemical reactions, nor the rotation of flywheels, nor gravitational vortices promise great prospects, for in all these processes the effect on Time is very limited. Moreover, the impossibility of quickly managing these processes calls into question their use in promising vehicles.
According to the working theory proposed by the author of these lines, Time as a physical phenomenon is explained under certain conditions by the manifestation of all familiar electromagnetic forces. In just five years, four experimental installations of varying degrees of complexity were made. The lenticular apparatus, which in appearance resembled UFOs, included: a closed spatial structure with special electromagnetic properties, a control unit, a power supply unit and measuring equipment. During the experiments, a change in Time was observed outside the setup, as expected; only such a change with the opposite sign was an order of magnitude lower than the internal one (quite in accordance with geometric laws - inversely proportional to the cube of distance) …
The measurements were carried out using a spaced-apart pair of crystal oscillators, as well as by comparing the readings of electronic and mechanical clocks placed in the payload compartment with a reference clock and time signals. On the first model, the difference in readings was up to half a second per hour, on subsequent modifications it was brought to 40 seconds per hour.
The volume of the payload compartment, located in the center of symmetry, in all Time Machines did not exceed the volume of a soccer ball. That is why the services of the traditional pioneers of new modes of transport - experimental dogs - had to be abandoned. The honor of being the pioneers of time went to more miniature mice, as well as cockroaches. The first experiments with the movement of insects and mice in the past time ended deplorably for the experimental (a difference of two seconds, alas, almost no one survived). Those who had the carelessness of being near the experimental setup developed painful symptoms similar to those described in the Eldridge experiment.
