Kemerovo zoologist Oksana Zhukova saw a yeti in the Yurginsky district, and not in Gornaya Shoria, from where signal after signal has been coming for 4 years - from different places - about huge barefoot footprints found in the snow, similar to human ones, but one and a half to two times larger than the usual male Feet.
- And all the same, hearing and reading eyewitness stories from the south of Kuzbass and statements of visiting scientists about the Kuzbass Yeti, I never thought that I, a zoologist, would ever hear the crunch of snow under heavy steps and see … not a mythical, but a living yeti ! Yes, even in our north, near Yurga, - worried, says Oksana Zhukova.
- We went to the village of Glinkovka, to my dad, the village is almost abandoned, half empty. Around the forest and snow - to the horizon. And we drove along the old Kemerovo - Yurga highway, passing through Ulus at the exit from Kemerovo. … Blue sky, fluffy snow. I tell my boyfriend: - Let's stop, take a picture. We got out of the car, began to go down from the road - to the field. And - numb. Far ahead, a creature went to the forest - all in wool, on its hind legs, long arms … It waves them in time and walks in the same way as great apes walk. Or the Yeti - in the movies. And he is also dragging some kind of carcass in his hand. We managed to photograph him!
As Oksana will forever remember, the yeti's gait is not human, very similar to the gait of a monkey.

As Oksana regrets, she and her boyfriend were able to make only one shot. The guy was so shocked that he stood rooted to the spot, could not move. - I told him: “Take off, take off soon! Or give me a camera! For some reason it didn't work on me. And he seemed to press, but then it turned out that only a frame was taken, - says Oksana.
-… We then got to my father's village without incident. And, having met, they told dad the first thing about the yeti. And he was not surprised!

But one day, the girl still managed to escape, with the children. And the creature rushed after her in pursuit, let's catch up. Then the girl put him one child, then the second. But the Yeti was so furious that he tore apart his furry children … The Yeti walked across the field and did not pay attention to people.

Fairy tales are fairy tales, but Oksana Zhukova's father, who was shaken for a long time after she saw and photographed the back of the yeti with her companion, advised to respect the custom of the ancestors, and to appease the Spirit of the taiga, the Master of the taiga (yeti), handed Oksana a glass of vodka. They went to the edge of Glinkovka, to the forest, poured vodka on the snow - with the words that it was a gift … Now scientists are engaged in photography of the Yeti. As zoologists from Kemerovo University told us, the places where the photo with the Yeti was taken are not studied by science, due to the fact that the Yurga military training ground is located there for very, very many years. And there is not just an abandoned old tract that went from Tomsk to Altai, but also a restricted area.
