No one knows what happened near Buenos Aires, but the Parana River turned blood red in just one night. The water was normal the previous day, and in the morning the residents were shocked by its color.
At the moment, the reasons for the strange phenomenon have not been clarified. Authorities called in specialists to take water samples, and the local population was asked to stay away from the river.
Even before the results of the analysis, biologists reassured the population with stories that ordinary algae could be the cause of the change in the color of the water in the river, but the results of the analysis did not reveal any algae in the water.
The authorities announced that residents are not advised to come close to the water, as an investigation is underway to find out the reasons for the incident. The ban on approaching the river is argued that there is a version that the reason could be illegal burial of industrial waste underground, which brought some substance into the river bed through underground rivers and caused a change in its color.
