“Recently I went to a reunion for our high school graduates and met my friend Ash, with whom we were bosom friends at school.
We chatted about various topics, and then she suddenly asked, “Do you remember the monster with a face like a pig that we saw?” I looked at Ash first with incomprehension, and then in shock.
As it turned out, I completely forgot about this event. I was so scared that my memory tried to completely erase this terrible memory from my thoughts and I only remembered it when Ash asked about it.
Previously, my family and the Ash family lived in a remote rural area where there were only dirt roads. The border of the national park ran nearby, and the nearest town was 25 miles away. It was 2003 and I was 13 then.
We both had large families and as older children we had to look after younger siblings, whom Ash and I had twos. The best time was summer, when there was no need to go to school and we spent almost whole days on the street, playing hide and seek and catch-up.
On that day, our parents left for the city, and we were rushing around our houses as usual, and suddenly I noticed something white that flashed next to a propane tank standing near our house. I ran in that direction and managed to notice how this white creature disappeared at the well

The well was in our large backyard, where propane tanks were lying and there were already forests nearby, so there was enough space to hide there. Ash also noticed this white creature and ran into the yard after me, but our younger brothers and sisters playing in the street did not seem to see him.
At first, Ash and I thought it was a stray dog, although this creature was too playful for a dog, it ran away incredibly quickly. We didn't think about forest predators, because there is no one larger than raccoons.
We started looking for this creature and found it at the well, still thinking it was a dog. “Poor dog,” we said and tried to stroke him. And then we both noticed that the paws of this animal end with … fingers. Long fingers, very human-like.
The creature's light coat was dirty and smelled bad. And it was the scary smell of shit and death, I thought. And when I saw his face, my head could not keep up with the idea that an animal could have such a face. She was completely hairless and looked a bit like a dog, but with a snub nose like a pig's nickle.
The creature's eyes were black, but with a bright yellow iris, and they seemed very angry to me. In addition, this creature emitted something like a growl. I had never seen anything like it before and did not know before this feeling of intense fear of an animal.
And then something happened right away. Ash and I seemed to realize at the same time that this creature was VERY DANGEROUS. We screamed loudly and ran to my house. I remember shouting to other children to go into the house, and then we ran inside and bolted the door.
We stood in front of a closed door and I could not take my eyes off the windows. looking at the backyard, as if afraid that this creature will penetrate through them to us. And me and Ash were pumped up with adrenaline with horror and because of it we couldn't even speak. We just stood there and were silent.
Finally, our younger brothers and sisters ran home, we let them in, and later my parents came and Ash and I, crying, told them about the terrible beast. My father believed us and even walked around with a pistol, but found no one. Then he said that maybe it was a wild boar from the forest.
After that incident, Ash and I never played close to the forest again, and Ash gradually stopped coming to me altogether.
All of this shocked me so much that I never spoke again about this story with Ash or anyone else. But when Ash recently reminded me of everything, I decided to ask my little brother if he remembered anything.
My brother was then 7 years old and he said that he only remembers how Ash and I ran into the backyard. But when I started to tell him about the terrible beast, he suddenly interrupted me and he looked alarmed. “Was it completely white?” My brother asked me. Yes. And it looked like a strange dog or a pig,”I replied.
And then my brother got scared and cried out “I saw this creature quite recently, just a couple of years ago!”. And these words of his gave me goosebumps.
My brother told me that two years ago he was driving down that old dirt road late at night, giving his girlfriend a lift, and he had problems with the brakes. And when at one of the sites he almost got stuck again, the headlights of his car grabbed a strange creature on the side of the road, standing vertically on two legs or paws.
At first he thought that one of the locals had put a statue here, but then he saw that it was alive and tall. It reached a height of at least 180 cm! It was covered with white, but very dirty hair, and the muzzle resembled the head of a dog.
And before this creature disappeared into the thickets, the brother also managed to notice on his hands or paws long fingers, similar to those of a man.
When my brother in shock asked his quieted girlfriend if she had seen this animal, she nodded in fright. And my brother, like me, was so shocked that he never told anyone about this incident. Then he told me that he probably also blocked these memories in his memory.
