For some time now, the private British company Merlin Burrows has been studying the ancient ruins of obscure structures that are located off the coast of Spain.
Archaeologists, who have known these ruins for a long time, consider them to be the remains of ancient Greek or Roman buildings, but the experts of "Merlin Burrows" are sure that they are much older and belong to the very Atlantis described by Plato.
Historians of the Merlin Burrows have explored the ruins through both on-site studies and satellite imagery. They will soon be releasing a documentary called Atlantica about their work, in which they will try to prove that Atlantis was located off the coast of what is now Spain.
We know about the hypothetical sunken continent Atlantis only from the works of the Greek philosopher Plato, written in 400 BC. Plato described a very advanced civilization that was a very powerful maritime empire and existed many thousands of years ago. And 9 thousand years before the era of Plato, Atlantis was swallowed up by water.

The site is located north of the city of Cadiz, Andalusia, and near the Doñana National Park, which historians believe was once a huge inland sea. On the coastal line there are at least 15 points with ruins of some buildings, of which almost nothing has remained to our time.
Marine historian Tim Akers, head of research at the Merlin Burrows, says their research revealed that the structures were built by a far more technically advanced people than the ancient Greeks or Romans.
According to him, laboratory analysis of the material extracted from the Spanish ruins showed the presence of a type of cement that the Greeks and Romans did not use, as well as signs of an ancient highly developed metallurgy.
Also, a greenish-blue plaque was found on some samples from the ruins and research revealed a very ancient combination of metals.
