The mysterious Shushmor tract is located somewhere between the Shatursky district of the Moscow region and the Gus-Khrustalny district of the Vladimir region. In 1885, when repair work was carried out nearby on the Kolomenskoye tract, people suddenly began to disappear without a trace.

First, the district Pokrovsk police, and then the red police, ransacked the vicinity of the tract in search of robbers and bandits. And not the slightest trace of the missing, as well as those who could be involved in this.

In which area of the near Moscow Klyaz'menye the cursed place is hidden, now no one remembers for sure. Only old-timers know that there was something. But where, in which direction - and they do not know. Several expeditions were unsuccessful.

At the beginning of the 20th century, the same mysterious disappearances of carters with carts and even whole carts were noted on the Volokolamsko-Tverskoy tract, not far from the Lama River. More than 20 disappearances have been registered there. The police searched for intruders for a long time, but in vain.

Inhabitants of the local villages Yegorie, Gribanovo, Makarikha and Zrykovo whispered to each other in fright: "We got to someone else's place." They invariably answered the questions of the police sergeant: “Not otherwise, they went around the Shushmorinoy swamp. There they disappeared. There is destruction for all."

Shushmorino swamp on Lama and Shushmor near Klyazma are not just coincidences in names. Most likely, the very word "Shushmor" was a definition for the lost and terrible places. So, to the north along the Volokolamsk - Tver tract, not far from the Shoshy River, on a section of the road passing by the Shoshmorikha farm, three convoys with rich luggage disappeared at the end of the 19th century.

Local villagers attributed this terrible incident to the fact that there was some strange swamp not far from the farm. At the insistence of the Tver detectives, the old people described this swamp: “In the middle of the forest there is a round swamp. In the middle of the swamp is a firmament of earth. On an earthy firmament - a red stone, half gone into the ground. And whoever passes by him, looking at him, will perish. Shishigi will take him to their swamp."

According to the descriptions, the Shushmor tract in the Klyaz'menye region surprisingly exactly coincides with the Shoshmorikha forest swamp. After the twenties of the XX century, the facts of disappearance without a trace in the near Moscow Klyaz'menye beyond Volokolamsk and in Zavidovo were not noted, apparently, they did not exist. After all, new roads were laid not at all where the former tracts near Moscow passed, and therefore, they simply passed the tracts with ill fame.

At the beginning of the 20th century, another place on the Volokolamsk tract became known due to 8 disappearances without a trace. Then, in 6 years, 52 people seemed to have sunk into the water. But in the 1930s, the Volokolamskoe highway passed just north of the old Volokolamsk highway, leaving aside a lost place, and all fears gradually dissipated.

A lost place not far from Gorenosov, which local old men and women called Shimora in the 50s, until the military decided to build a testing ground for engineering equipment and pave a road through the local swamp, intending to fill it up.

The villagers were warned not to disturb this place, but the builders strictly followed the instructions. The bulldozer leveled the ground, dump trucks brought crushed stone and gravel, the grader leveled the canvas - the priming line ran quickly and evenly, even slightly ahead of the plan. But a couple of hundred meters to the swamp, when more than one and a half kilometers had already been covered through the meadow itself, the bulldozer suddenly got stuck with caterpillars and slowly, centimeter by centimeter, began to go into the ground in front until it completely disappeared into the swamp. The bulldozer driver only had to get out of the cab and helplessly watch what was happening.

A unit of working equipment, strangely gone underground, previously checked by surveyors, caused a lot of noise. All witnesses of the incident were interviewed. Quite by chance, one old resident managed to learn an unusual legend:

“A couple of centuries ago the sorcerer Shoshka was buried in that place. On top of his grave, they laid a stone that had been spoken, so that he would not inadvertently leave the grave, a painfully evil sorcerer was, a black healer. His grave was in the wasteland. Then, over the course of several decades, a swamp was formed in that place. But the stone remained in the middle of it, did not go into the swamp. The old men who spoke to the grave strictly ordered to come close to that place, not to touch the stone in any case, so that Shoshka would not be released from the grave. The line of prohibition goes around the grave about a hundred and fifty meters away. About two hundred years ago, several healers wanted to go to Shoshka's grave, ask him to share his secrets, but they never saw any of them."

The management has requested another geodetic group from Moscow. No deviations were found, and under the very failure - like a well, deep, with a glass, unsteady sand mixed with peat goes deep into the depths.

In order not to risk the construction plans, adjustments were made and the road was built bypassing, which lengthened the route by 6 km. All these stories have already been covered with moss, and so far no one has managed to find out the exact location of the Shushmor tract.
